Amberfox17's writing is so beautiful and expressive and perfect at capturing Thor as, frankly kind of a dick, and then more well-rounded as he gets to know Loki and Jotunheim. Huge fan of fanfics in the Thorki realm that focus on the magic and mystery of each of the competing lands/worlds. Especially when the focus is on Jotunheim and the politics.

Author's description: When Thor went storming into Jotunheim he was looking to start a fight, but accidently winds up a pawn in Odin and Laufey's plans for a permanent peace between the realms; namely, in exchange for the return of the Casket of Ancient Winters, Laufey is offering his firstborn child Loki, the Aesir-sized sorcerer, in marriage to Thor. Such a momentous decision is not to be taken lightly, so Odin sends Thor to live on Jotunheim - without Mjolnir - for a season with Loki, to get to know his prospective consort and to teach the wilful prince some diplomatic sense. Thor is horrified, his parents are insistent and no-one really knows what Loki is thinking, but he hasn't stopped smiling... Or, a jotun AU arranged marriage worldbuilding fic, featuring a confused Thor, a manipulative bastard Loki, Jotunheim politics, a slow burn developing relationship and a motley arrangement of characters from Marvel and myth.

Yes exactly, and they just won’t understand when you tell them so and they think you just want to be contrary contrary for some reason. The funny thing is when they tell you “but I don’t want children either at tme moment/ I didn’t want children either when I was your age”; yes thank you but I’m not you, I don’t like children, I don’t feel a maternal instinct towards them (th which they syally reply “that’s because they’re not yours, you will feel it toward your own child”) and I also find the thought of pregnancy kind of disturbing to tell the truth, I don’t see why I should be forced to want children at some point in my life. Some women do, some other don’t, that’s simple. I don’t even know why this particulare thing makes me angry but it really irks me when people disregard my position telling me that it’s just a phase.

Also you and Mr. Fox are the cutest couple as you are, you two and Maia. <3

I wanted to step in with a quick fic rec for you!

Amberfox17 has written a nearly 200k word fic full of some of the most fantastic world-building I have ever been privy to in my nearly twenty years of reading fan fiction.

Wild Ambition Fortune's Ice Prefers has brought to life Jotunheim and the other realms of Yggdrasil with great talent and imagination. She has built a world of magic, politics, and cultural clashes, and explores the depths of the divide between Asgard and Jotunheim and what can be done to bridge that gap.

It's also a love story between Thor and Loki.

It's a piece of Jotunn Loki Art brought to life which is why I am recommending it here!

Ooh, yeah, I know that the anglo-american tradition is to have presents on the morning of the 25th? Here we do everything on the 24th, dinner and then presents :) The 25th is not Christmas day anymore, it's another holiday :)

I do enjoy buying presents and I love the whole Christmas day tradition of eating the dinner and then impatiently waiting for the presents unwrapping :)

Not sure if there is a tradition we do in the family that I hate tho... I guess we've really "customized" it to our needs and if something is 'meh', it's rather a result of a mometary situation rather than a tradition.

Well, actually I think we'll be less that 50 people since it's a job offered by the state for people within a certain age range, but still I guess it's already enough that they accepted my application. :) Thank you for the support hun. <3
