Yeeeep, I have thought about that and it would be brilliant. Ngl, a part of it is just the sheer hotness of fresh faced twink Loki fuckingmeeting gruff, matured Thor.
Look at that. Dammit. But it would be absolutely bonkers on the feelings front too. Thor decides to go back in time, to fix all of it (maybe he gets his hands on some of the stones? Or the whole gauntlet?) and instead of re-appearing in the body of Thor of that time, he goes as he is, so there’s no option of keeping it secret, I mean Loki takes one look at him and knows that this isn’t his Thor.
And Loki is all confident that he will be able to manipulate him anyway, play some games and he’s faced with this wall of exasperated fondness, like “that’s really cute what you just said to me to rile me up.” It’s not all fun though, because Thor has come here to fix specific things and Loki is hardly making it easy on him, being all bratty and Thor has to find a balance between treating him well and making amends and between not letting Loki go down the same path just because it’s incredible to see him alive and well again.
So, yes. A+ hot aesthetic, bottomless fodder of feelings.
