(via First-person Hyperlapse Videos) Hyperlapse for human rights? A new app from Instagram and this presentation of research from Microsoft (for longer videos) present the possibilities of hyperlapse for turning long, jerky first-person videos into smooth exposition. How do we use this for #copresence4good and human rights work? Some initial thoughts: - Use it to ground people in the physical location and context of an action - Use it as part of the preparatory ambient co-presence work that starts to introduce potential supporters to people and context (i.e. share some hyperlapses that show preparation for an action, present the location etc, so that people are ready to join live when the moment comes) - Rapidly present evidence of a pattern (for example of forced evictions in a neighbourhood)? Thoughts?
