Would you label Fritz as a good or an evil person? Or something in between?

I don’t see any point in labelling him like that. I’m drawn to him and so many others because he’s a person of exceptional magnificence, and magnificence is, ultimately, amoral. I judge historical figures on the Great-Mediocre-Unremarkable scale, and those walking the ‘Great’ part have a myth-like way of clouding our perception, or so does the sheer narrative of greatness around them, absolving them from the part of their humanity. 

If it really must come to this, he never was good, but once he was more human.
