NOW. We do headcanon that some of the bugs that can be found on Myoubokuzan has the ability to restore small amounts of chakra, and in our verse over on Discord, Kiomi isn't exactly that much of a stranger to the place.

That minicanon aside, the girl isnt really going to be TOO averse to consuming insects. As a child, she already experienced a state where she almost starved to death so anything that can keep her stay alive is going to be part of her "desperation diet". She doesn't necessarily enjoy them (nor does she need to), but you do what you have to do in order to keep breathing.
