Tis done! A small portrait of Kiomi when she was much younger (and after a kill too). When all she did was train to be a shinobi that could one day be useful to Orochimaru.

At present, Kiomi doesn't find killing people all too appealing, because she learned how useful they actually are. (Since she ended up enjoying intel gathering, people were much more useful to her alive than dead). However, during her younger years, she had no qualms about killing someone if it would benefit Otogakure and their lord.

Kiomi being able to name someone as hot or attractive doesnt always mean it's coming from a heartfelt source (of course there are rare occasions when it does). Most of the time, it's objective. Giving credit where credit is due is common sense for her, so sometimes it's easy to be deadpan honest about it.

A different story if it's someone she has feelings for. Asking her to be honest about it, is literally asking too much of her. Unless she's just thinking out loud to herself. Then it kinda slips from time to time.

Let me just say, Kiomi loves all sorts of creatures and animals. From your normal dogs and cats, to bugs, to dragons, to chimeras, to Gilles de Rais's pet monsters. So long as it's not human, she loves them all. She also likes servants because they, majority of them were humans. "Were" being the key word there.

Do you see how problematic it is when she's with experiments? If they as so much turn slightly animalistic, she will protect them. She wants Bijuus for pets, for crying out loud.

In the Fate verse, she will ask at least once if they can bring home some of the monsters they encounter during rayshifts. She knows demon pillars are dangerous and evil, but the first thing she'll ask is, "By any chance, can we bring Barbatos back?" and be somewhat sad that they cant or that they have to kill them.

She does like a handful of people tho. But she can do without majority of humanity.

NOW. We do headcanon that some of the bugs that can be found on Myoubokuzan has the ability to restore small amounts of chakra, and in our verse over on Discord, Kiomi isn't exactly that much of a stranger to the place.

That minicanon aside, the girl isnt really going to be TOO averse to consuming insects. As a child, she already experienced a state where she almost starved to death so anything that can keep her stay alive is going to be part of her "desperation diet". She doesn't necessarily enjoy them (nor does she need to), but you do what you have to do in order to keep breathing.

|| Random Useless Headcanon || Always accepting

Kiomi doesnt have a clear concept of what real "fun" should and is supposed to be. She may get a little bit of exhilaration from pulling a prank or two, but once the effect of the action passes, the feeling she's left with is rather hollow.

She attributes this from not having experienced a proper childhood, not growing up like normal children who had the chance to play and enjoy life at an early stage. Thrown into the throes of war at a tender age, fun was simply a luxury that she couldnt afford.

[1] --- at sixteen, he began collecting plants. it was a recommendation from a quality court-mandated psychologist; each time jamie has suicidal tendencies, he buys a plant or plants a seed. some days he sees the success in living blossom and grow around him. on the darker, more cynical days, he sees the blooming self-loathing growing in every room of his flat. currently, there are nine hundred plants, including a garden out back and a grow room in the conservatory, and caring for them takes up most of his free time.

Someday I need to write a proper post about how iffy Kairi is about Naminé. Although she wants nothing but the best for her to be her own person since it’s not fair to Kairi to have someone live her life through her experiences and not her own, she learned about what Naminé did to Sora when they joined thus she shared her memories with her. Kairi really struggled a lot because she was forgetting him for reasons she couldn’t know and she had to endure being told that she just made him out and that it was only Riku who she’s been with. Not only that, but also that natural wrongness of knowing that someone was blatantly exchanging her from someone as dear to her as Sora’s memories for that same someone else is... weird.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that she won’t find in her heart forgiveness for Naminé. She also had it really fucked up and she was treated like nothing during her time in the Oblivion Castle not only by the Organization itself (although Axel was the kindest of all and they’ve been actively interacting in KH2 too), but by Ansem/DiZ too.

Following what I was saying before–– I’m pretty sure that Kairi would insist in getting better at casting protective spells because she’s used that everyone shields her out of instinct either because of her inexperience, her smaller form or just to keep her safe but she hates the thought of anyone getting hurt because of her.
