It hurts me when you’re sad.
It pains me when you cry.
I wish I can be there to hold you,
To say everything is going to be alright.
I am sad to see the absence of your smile.
I am sad to see a tear drop from your eyes.
For whatever hurt that has caused this,
I wish I can wipe them all goodbye.
The mornings weren’t like this.
The sight of you under the sun wanes all worries for the day.
When dusk comes,
your gaze washes all the tiredness away.
Love finds a way to endure
But only when we want it.
I can only hope it’s the latter
Coz with you, life has been better.
Inktober Day 3. For the most part, I wanted to space out my hagiographical entries, but today’s feast day was just too perfect for the season (in terms of iconography anyways). October 3 is the Feast of Saint Francis Borgia, S.J. The 4th Duke of Gandia, Francis was a member of the notorious Borgia family, in fact a great-grandson of Pope Alexander VI. As kinsman to Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, he was tasked with conveying the body of the emperor’s beloved wife, Isabella of Portugal, to her resting place in Granada. Upon seeing the corpse of the dead empress, the young Francis was struck with the thought of death and gained a sense of piety. When his own wife passed, he acted upon that piety and joined the growing Society of Jesus, eventually becoming the order’s 3rd Superior General. He is commonly depicted holding a skull bearing an imperial crown to symbolize his conversion. #Inktober #Inktober2017 #Catholic #religion #Jesuit #AMDG
Reformer. Doctor. Missionary. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for the lives of these women and their models of faith and love. How lucky we are to have a Creator whose love overflows so much that it fills beautiful women of faith with inspiration and spirits of generosity to share love and help others to know God's love more deeply and passionately. A huge thank you to @blessedisshe__ for not only reminding us of the way these three holy women illustrate God's goodness, but for bringing together a lively, prayerful, beautiful community of women that strive to bring one another closer to Christ. #bissisterhood #blessedbeyondbelief #amdg
