amerikate, college au
“Oye, chica,” America flops on Kate’s bed and knocks the book out of her hands. “Drink with me.”
Kate huffs and looks at her, mouth pinched with annoyance. “I have two exams in two days and I–” America arches an eyebrow at her, sliding a hand up her thigh, and Kate shuts right up.
amerikate poster!
imagine kate and america being cuddle buddies
It is terribly cold. Way too cold for Kate to feel the tips of her fingers and even the tip of her nose had a colorful tinge to it from all the brutal wind in the city. It doesn’t help when she enters her home that the heat is turned down so low she can see her breath cloud before her. It only gets worse when she gets to her bedroom to see that the woman in her bed has all the covers wrapped around her in a possessive manner. The tired archer began to drag her feet through the dark bedroom, navigating it with little to no effort as she’s began to strip off the thousands of winter wool layers she’s swaddled in. The violet scarf comes off first, then a glove and then the other glove as the jacket starts to slide down off of her arm. Tugging it the rest of the way off, Kate lets it all fall to a pile on the floor. The mess can all wait til morning, for now she had one goal and that is to get warm.
Finally free of all her winter bindings, Kate sits down on the edge of the mattress. Making sure to bounce extra hard to wake the other girl and unable hide the smile that starts to twitch at her lips when America groans and rolls over, pressing her face in to the pillow. Reaching down, Kate unlaced her boots and then laid back, settling down on the soft mattress before reaching over and beginning a round of tug-o-war for the blankets that are all wrapped around her girlfriend. Kate’s fingers dig into the soft fabric and she gives the first yank. The two tugged back and forth for a moment before Kate moves her cold hand up and presses it to the side of America’s exposed neck. Instantly the other girl lets out a yelp, “Geeze! Ice Princess!”
A laugh pulls from Kate and she moves her other hand up and presses it to other side of America’s warm neck. Her thumbs curling over pulse points and rogue curling hairs. America squirms and there is a threat of removal of fingers if Kate didn’t let up. Never one to back down, Kate didn’t relinquish the torment. Instead she takes the opportunity of a squirming America to pull the blankets free and yank them over to her side, “Success!” Kate shouts into the room as her dark head hits the pillow next to America’s and she turns on her side, nose to nose with the other girl.
America reaches over to pull on the blankets again but it is no use, “You could share you know.”
Kate presses her lips into a smile hidden in the dark room as she turns over with her prized blankets and sighs happily, “I could.” She sings out through a yawn as she closes her blue eyes, “But I’m cold. Too cold, so cold I’m pretty sure it’s hypothermia. It could be serious.”
“The whole city is cold, Princess.” America chastises her with a click of her tongue and then without warning, she wraps an arm around Kate and pulls her in close to her own body. The two spooning together with Kate’s legs fighting to tangle with hers and America’s lips are pressing to the back of her neck. The two cur together before America speaks against her skin, “Body heat helps fight hypothermia. Did you know that?”
The question had the archer grinning and leaning back a bit. Her legs are tangled up with hers and she buries her head back against the overstuffed pillow. Kate snuggles back into her wrapping of blankets and America. A complete sense of warmth, comfort, and a yawn coming over as exhaustion starts to seep into her bones, “I had no idea, what else does body heat help?”
There is a moment of silence as the blanket are tugged over America’s form so the two can share it without giving up their current positions, “Well Princess…”
america should get a solo series and it should be about her going around kicking butt and then going on super cute dates with her gf kate and then they kicking butt with kate and then kissing kate a lot.
Part 2 of the amerikate college au because I have no restraint. For theactualmishacollins.
When America finally got to the building the flyer said the party would be at, she was already regretting that decision. She opened the heavy door at the front, hoping that it was actually the right place. The music grew in volume, so loud that America could feel it through the floor. This was definitely the right place. Making her way through the crowd, she looked around for the girl with the black hair that invited her, before sighing. This was totally ridiculous. By the time she made it over to the drinks and snacks, she'd stepped in probably more than two pieces of gum, and silly string had been applied to the back of her head like it was hairspray. She grabbed a drink that looked like it had a lot of alcohol in it and mentally cursed the fact that cute girls were a weakness of hers. She needed to work on that. "Hey!" A voice shouted over the music, right next to her ear, and she jumped nearly a foot in the air, sending half of her drink splattering over the floor. "You made it!" She turned to see bright blue eyes only a few inches away from her face, and a tangle of black hair falling out of a messy bun on the top of Kate's head. "Uh... Yeah." America nodded, biting her lip and suddenly wishing she was somewhere else. Or more drunk. "So..." Kate grinned, leaning a little closer into America's space, as if there was a lot of room left. "I never caught your name." "That's because I never said it." America blurted out. She stopped, wide eyed, and wondered what the actual fuck was wrong with her. Kate laughed a little, though, and the multi-colored lights from the ceiling sparkled in her eyes. "Well, can you say it now?" Kate grinned, nudging America's shoulder with her own. "America." she looked away, expecting the jokes that always came with her name, but Kate just hummed. "Cool." she nodded, and raised her own cup to her lips to drink, and America needed to get herself together before she melted into a puddle. Suddenly, Kate's eyes widened and she crowded America against the wall, looking down to let her hair cover her face. "What are you doing?!" America yelped, and Kate slapped her hand over America's mouth. "Shh!" She whispered, looking back over her shoulder. "You see that guy with the brown hair? In the ridiculously hipster-ish shirt next to the cookies?" America looked around, and after spotting the guy, nodded since she couldn't really say much of anything with Kate's hand on her face. "Is he coming over here?" Kate asked, dropping her hand so America could talk. "Uh, no." America squinted, trying to keep an eye on the dude. "Wait, um, scratch that. Yes." "What?!" Kate whisper-yelled, shaking her free hand out. "Um, okay, quick, make out with me!" America was drunker than she thought. "What." she said numbly, staring at Kate, who rolled her eyes. Kate wrapped her free hand around America's neck and pulled her closer. "Make out with me!" she hissed, and pulled America's lips to hers before she could say anything. Kate's mouth was warm, and tasted like cheap whiskey and when America finally kissed back it was kind of sloppy and kind of the best kiss ever. When Kate pulled back, she was still close enough for America to feel her breath on her lips. America pretty much wanted to kiss her a whole lot more. "Do you have silly string in your hair?" Kate giggled, moving her hand back down to America's neck. America flushed red. She'd completely forgotten about that. "Yes?" she squeaked, and Kate huffed a laugh, her head dropping to almost rest on America's shoulder. Kate looked back up, frowning a bit. "Is he gone?" Kate asked, and America remembered the whole reason they'd kissed in the first place, and the light feeling in her chest suddenly turned to lead. She looked over Kate's shoulder at the table with the snacks, but didn't see the guy with the hipster shirt, so she nodded her head. Kate sighed, and took a step back, making America feel cold. "Cool." "Cool." America mumbled, looking down at her drink and swirling it around in her cup. She definitely wasn't drunk enough for this. "Do you want to come sit with me?" she heard Kate ask, and her head darted up to see Kate smiling at her a little bit. "Sure." America shrugged, and Kate stuck out her hand, rolling her eyes when America just looked at it. "So you don't get lost." Kate smirked. "We wouldn't want that." America set her free hand gently onto Kate's, and she was dragged into the crowd almost immediately. America had the feeling that maybe she shouldn't have come to the party.
Does anyone have any America/Kate prompts for me to write?
