This is Doris. I went to her estate sale this morning and let me just say, babe had some great taste. I snagged some really cool stuff for the shop, but I think this photo is my most favorite item I've ever picked. Sometimes when out digging for treasure, I tend to gloss over that most, if not all of the items I have the good fortune to come across, all were a part of someone else's life at some point. To be able to breathe new life into these items, to clean them up and send them off to new homes to be enjoyed for (hopefully) years to come, all while trying to pay bills and being able to live on my own terms, is a great privilege and honor. I named the shop American Bones because these items are a part of someone else's history that will now become a part of yours. So I'll keep this photo as a reminder that sometimes it's rusted and sometimes it's weathered, but somebody loved it, and maybe I can help someone else love it again. Thank you Doris, couldn't do it without ya. #americanbonesvintage
