The striped green and pale gold silk taffeta sash, and the hairstyle were taken from the @americanduchess Guide. Whipped up a quick pair of mitts! I did actually do mock ups for these since I don’t have average size hands or fingers (chonky and stubby) and it’s a good thing I did, because I had to make three toiles and in the end I still have alterations I’d make for a better-fitting pair! But they’ll work nicely for my 1660s ensemble. ✨ I made them to match a maid in a Peter Janssens Elinga painting from 1668 - now that I look closer, maybe it’s just a trick of the light, but I could swear she’s wearing camel-colored mitts.
