Box Office Buz: DVD and Blu-ray releases for November 23, 2021

Although there is not a lot of quantity this week, you just can’t a better week of quality. We kick the week off with probably the most significant must-buy of the year for movie buffs, Criterion’s first 4K release, Citizen Kane. Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) is a millionaire newspaper tycoon whose death has rocked the world, and his mysterious last word, Rosebud, has reporters buzzing to find out its significance. Following Kane’s rise from childhood through his rise to fame, power and riches, Citizen Kane is a fascinating examination of one man’s life and its significance to all who encounter it.What can I say about Citizen Kane that hasn’t been said a million times before?

First look at American Night

A new trailer has been released for American Night. No release date was specified.

Art and life collide in this stylish and wildly entertaining neo-noir thriller. When a highly coveted Andy Warhol painting suddenly surfaces, it triggers a chain reaction of danger-filled events for a colorful group of characters including: a forger turned art dealer (Jonathan Rhys Meyers); a mobster and painter (Emile Hirsch) with a penchant for scorpions; a seductive museum conservator (Paz Vega); and a stuntman and wannabe ninja (Jeremy Piven). Filled with daring double-crosses and surprising twists and turns, the race for the painting comes to an explosive conclusion… one American Night.

Just watched #americannight and it was so good!! It’s one of those “you have to pay attention or else you’ll miss something” movies. Anyone who knows me knows I love a #johnathonryhsmeyers movie and that he’s one of my favorite people, and always has been. I highly recommend this movie!! It’s not often I get to sit down and watch a movie these days, glad I was off work early enough to do so.
