I was just old enough to remember the Vietnam War on the news but no idea what it was about at the time. Then learned a little from school, movies and a few books while traveling in popular tourist areas of Vietnam. But I always knew that there was no way I could understand how intense and horrible jungle warfare must be. I tried to imagine it. Now I've ridden a good section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and seen what Vietnam's jungle is really like. It inspired me to buy two books on Kindle about the war in the jungles.
