americons thoughts
i think catherine should seriously consider writing americons for julie gardner to produce. if it were me writing:
the tatennant pair is pre-established and permanent. their marriage does not experience problems. the loyalty is absolute. they've been doing this for years.
it's in new york city, for ease of access to travel/locations plus hella organized crime in nyc on all levels of society.
they're sent to nyc on assignment but it's never clear for who. and they work for themselves first and foremost. the trust is unbroken.
they're very ordinary aside from their work-- the characters live in an old pre-war apartment in Brooklyn having moved from London, no kids, nothing out of the ordinary to anyone looking.
i'd likely have them working for the british government as the twist, sent to engage in the underworld-y stuff to gather information and take down a huge crime ring, which of course they do together.
a scene of them smoking joints on their little balcony, please! wine and joints! weed is legal in nyc.
and though they are agents, they are also actually married and actually happy.
the second twist is that since they really ultimately only work for themselves, at the end of the bust they steal all the cryptocurrency held by the crime ring and disappear together.
can you guys tell i've been overthinking this? put catherine in a blonde wig here or there for criming purposes. just fun shit. and he can be like "fuck you're hot as a blonde."
