We're not sure if we'd rather use these fuzzy letterforms or make them pets.
So for all of you uninitiated/ unobservant people - I love ampersands. Like really love them. Alot. Those who know me, know this well. I use it pretty much any chance I get (sadly, academic papers don't allow for that, otherwise my papers would have been absolutely FLOODED with them...) . It's my favourite symbol in any font, and it's the one that I spend the most time on when I'm creating typefaces.
Another rather obvious obsession of mine is teddy bear & fluffy toys - so imagine the squeals emitting from my vocal chords when I came across these fluffy ampersands!
These adorable little ones are called Amfursands , and are results of David McLeod's experiments with 3D texture renders.
Here's one of my favourites - I call it the Cheshire (...I'm not that imaginative when it comes to names...)
Do head over to David McLeod's website to check out the rest of the litter, as well as more bad puns-turned-art by David!

Warm and fuzzy, David McLeod‘s Amfursand is a plush reimagining of one of the English language’s most distinguished symbols. McLeod makes good use of a bad pun.
