Known as British Columbia's northern capital and host for Canada's 2015 Winter Games, we ventured north to Prince George, BC for our most recent stop on Knowledge Network's BC-Wide Road Tour.
While in PG we organized some great events including a free screening and art exhibit at the Playhouse, a filmmaker's roundtable, a Knowledge Network donor reception and a luncheon with the Chamber of Commerce.
We also had some memorable meet 'n' greets with Mayor Dan Rogers, UNBC's George Iwama and Robert Van Adrichem and a wonderful tour of the Two Rivers Art Gallery by Peter Thompson.
All in all it was a wonderful trip to a vibrant community and we couldn't have done it without the help of some key individuals, namely: Wendy Young of the Prince George Arts Council, Clint Fraser of Northern BC Tourism, Jennifer Brandle-McCall of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and of course our board member Kevin Brown!
We look forward to our next adventure up north, but until then, thank you for the support and hospitality Prince George!
Next time you are in PG, make sure to check out the visually stunning Two Rivers Art Gallery, Chimo's, Ritz's Bakery and Amigo's Taco Shop!!!
Next Stop on Knowledge Network's BC-Wide Road Tour:
