#amigurumaychallenge day 8. Story My badass black and purple sea serpent has bottle caps in it's head. I used bottle caps to create the sinker effect. I choose ones that are slightly bigger than the eyes, burn out a hold in the center, place the cap inside the work and push the post of the eye through the work and into the cap from the outside. Apply backing. I used a soldering iron to melt the posts to help secure the backing. What’s interesting about him is that he has a purple ear and a purple foot. If you tickle his purple ear, he will kick you with his purple foot. Beware. #AmiguruMay2022 Day 3. Introduce yourself. Hi, I’m Angie and I started crocheting since primary school, I started Tiny Rabbit Hole with Terrix since 6 years ago officially, but it was actually 8 years ago that I bumped into @allaboutami’s crochet blog and found out that crochet can make 3D plushies! Some of the first few amigurumi I’ve made were bunnies and Pikachu. I run an instagram-worthy yarn shop in Singapore. My unicorn was born due to a scam. I love playing with fur babies, but I have never owned one. I prefer being in the sweltering heat than enjoying the chilly winter air. I love to read webtoons and enjoy watching dystopian or time traveling drama like Squid Game. What about you? How did you start your crochet journey? #amigurumayday3 introduce yourself. My name is Vicki. Introvert so putting myself out there tends to be hard. Treacher-Collins syndrome so pictures of myself are few and far between. I'm also my own worst critic. I've always wanted to create. Took me awhile to find my medium. I've drawn, painted, attempted clay arts, attempted crochet, loom knitted... even dabbled in breeding colored Boer goats for several years. About 5 years ago I discovered graphghans and after loom knitting some graphs I finally mastered crochet. Crocheted several graphghan blankets and got into designing graphghan patterns. Lately I have become an amigurumi fanatic. I'm married with one son. Our son will be graduating this month and then shipping out to the USAF in June. Empty nest here we come. 🥲. We will still have our Boston Terrier babies to spoil. Do a overland exploring with hubby, a little vegetable gardening, grow some flowers and do some home canning; fight with the hubby over whose turn it is to mow the yard, lol. Sold the goats last year so no livestock at the moment. Moving is a possibility now that school zones aren't a priority. Hubby drives truck so where we may relocate to will be anybody's guess, including our own 😂.
