Amira x Reader
Warnings: angst?, kinda fluff
(Y/n: Your Name)
Reader is MC/ Yuu
Suddenly, a wave of pain hit Y/n.
It came out of nowhere, and it was strong enough to make them almost lose balance, leaving them stumbling in the middle of the deserted hallway. Grimm was nowhere to be found, probably intent on stealing tuna cans from somewhere. Their two other friends, Ace and Deuce, were busy studying like two mad lads after their classes, so there was nobody around.
Y/n had to support on one of the columns, bringing one of their hands to their heart, clutching their shirt. They felt like their chest was being squeezed to the point that it was difficult to breathe.
A sudden sadness blurred their mind, imposing on their previous thoughts. How was their family? Their friends? Were they missed by them? Did they think Y/n ran away, or was kidnapped, or, or was killed? All the questions overwhelmed their mind, as they started to take deep breaths to try to calm their violent heartbeat down.
Hot tears started to flood their half-closed eyes, even though Y/n was already slowly calming down.
“Y/n, Kalim asked to return this to-” Amira walked down the desert hallway holding some papers, with just Y/n standing there “...you…” she noticed their slightly trembling figure. She furrowed her eyebrows, concerned, and rushed over “..Y/n..” she whispered when she was close enough.
Y/n stiffened by Amira posing her hand on their shoulder. “Y/n…” she repeated their name. She bit her lip in worry as her eyes analyzed the situation.
“Here, please sit down” Amira pat the stone that held the pillars, between which a slight breeze made its way to the external hallway, where they were standing.
“Are you alright? What happened?” Amira asked in worry after Y/n sat down. She set the papers down, they were way less important than Y/n. “You’re pale…” she posed her hand on Y/n’s cheek, looking at them. She analyzed Y/n’s aspect in silence, giving them the time to calm down while her hand was still lingering over their cheek.
A warm tear fell on Y/n’s lap, not even bothering to make its way through their cheek. Amira looked down at the small wet stain and up at Y/n’s face. Their eyes had abruptly transformed into rivers, sending more quick tears down their face, not making any noise.
Amira lowered her hand to caress Y/n’s faintly. Her arms embraced their figure instead after a few seconds, not caring about wetting her clothes. Y/n was more important.
Y/n hugged Amira back after hesitating. They trembled, trying to hold their feelings in. They didn’t want to bother Amira any further.
“Don’t bottle your feelings up.” Amira whispered while she tightened her embrace a little.
All thoughts sped up in Y/n’s mind. Family, human, not completely fitting in NRC, magicless, school, studying until your eyes start closing by themselves, worry, human, human, human.
Everything that could be heard was Y/n’s muffled sobs, Amira’s whispers, and the tree’s leaves getting caressed by the cool breeze.
“...better now?” Amira quietly asked with a soft smile while Y/n started to lower their arms.
They gave a small nod, slightly embarrassed, and looking away from her, not wanting to meet her eyes.
Amira smiled warmly and moved from her position to look at them “It’s fine, sweetie” she carefully moved their face to wipe their wet cheeks with her thumb. Y/n’s cheeks covered with a pinkish color as they tried to excuse themselves. They didn’t find the words. Ack, would that make it awkward? Y/n didn’t want that. Would they be able to explain the situation later? They were still worried, after all, and didn’t want to make Amira think they were selfish. She chuckled “No need to feel sorry,” she wiped their cheek “no need to explain either. It’s fine” she said with a reassuring smile.
Y/n whimpered quietly, relieved. They nodded weakly “...thank you, Amira.” they whispered, smiling a little as well.
“Anytime, sweetheart” Amira caressed their hair.
After a few minutes, Y/n’s breathing calmed down. Amira looked at them “Do you want to pass by Scarabia? I can make tea” she twinkled.
Tea did sound calming. “That sounds good” Y/n nodded. Amira pulled out her hand to them, which they took. They hopped off the stone wall they were sitting on. Amira took the papers and started walking over holding Y/n’s hand, while they talked about their favorite things to do, giggling from time to time, as the lamps of the hallway lowered their brightness, giving a warm light.
