what was amlodis life like before he got captured??

quiet, and peaceful, and so very lonely. he could go over a month without seeing another person in the jungle, and while to this day he insists that is how he prefers it, it's not necessarily the healthiest way for a person to be. despite the lonely way of life, he still misses it so. he often complains of his life in Thavnair that he can't even hear himself think.

Amlodi as a Recruitable NPC

Do they have the Echo? If so, how did they discover it?: No

How/where does the WoL meet them?: During Endwalker, just before the WoL is about to enter the Tower of Zot, Amlodi will approach the Scions and demand to enter the tower with them.

The WoL will receive an echo vision of Amlodi’s recent years - A Wood Warder captured by imperials; an imperial prisoner freed by Ruby Sea pirates; a pirate taking down those not paying the Ruby Tithe; Being caught in a storm after straying too far while chasing a ship; Being discovered unconscious on a Thavnairian beach by an arkasodaran couple. The vision will show him nursed back to health, and then helping them at the Hamsa Hatchery. It will then flash to the two arkasodara being attacked and dragged away by tempered imperials from the tower, and Amlodi arriving too late to help them.

As the WoL regains consciousness, a nearby Radiant Host will snort and make a comment that Amlodi is naught more than an amnesiac that cares for hamsa, and to take him in would be far too dangerous. The WoL can, at this point, vouch for Amlodi’s abilities, or agree with the Radiant Host. The former option will unlock Amlodi as a trust for Tower of Zot, while the latter will cause him to storm off, and he will never be seen again.

How are they recruited into the Scions?: Amlodi is a trust option for the dungeons Tower of Zot and Vanaspati during Endwalker, but cannot be formally recruited into the scions until MSQ has been completed up to 6.1, as well as gaining bloodsworn status in the Arkasodara tribal questline.

Romanceable?: Yes (any gender, potential poly). if unromanced or in a poly relationship with WoL, he will also enter a relationship with Maru once WoL completes the Arkasodara questline.

Where they are in the open world:

(Before he is formally encountered in MSQ) The Great Work, delivering items to the alchemists.

(Between Tower of Zot and Vanaspati) At the Hamsa Hatchery, working on rebuilding it.

(Between Vanaspati and the final quest of 6.0) At Palaka’s Stand, surveying damage.

(Once Arkasodara quests have been unlocked) At Svarna.

Small side mission(s): 

Amlodi will be present for the side quests leading up to and including the Arkasodara questline, if he was allowed to join the WoL in Tower of Zot.

After the completion of Tower of Zot, he will also be found at the Hamsa hatchery, and will give the WoL a sidequest to help rebuild it. There is a follow-up quest for this after Vanaspati, and a final quest after Endwalker is completed.

6. How romantic is your character?

not sure whether this question is about romantic gestures or orientation but to get the latter out of the way all my characters are biromantic!! as for the former...

Roeh doesn't have a romantic bone in her body and its actually been part of why she's broken up with people in the past. She just... really isn't one for grand sweeping gestures or anything like that - she doesn't get it at all...

Niuwyb is clumsy at romantic gestures for sure, but unlike her sister, she actually does try. its the thought that counts, right?

Sandrine is the sort of person who will roll her eyes at the idea of sappy things but is secretly the worlds biggest sap of all. "I don't have time for any of that sort of thing", she says, very carefully displaying a bouquet of roses she received in a vase

Sonje is one of those buys you flowers offers her hand princess carries you type people and yes she does this for Sandrine and Ysayle she's soooo cheesy and they love it

Amlodi will buy someone a gift and huff a lil bit when they make a big deal out of it and be like it's really nothing....

Mellow is the world's biggest believer in fairytale romances. She dreams of it even now.

Niuwyb essentially ensured her own creation by talking to Venat about how she came to be. Time shenanigans are funny like that.

also ngl i actually misinterpreted this as domino effect at first and was going to talk about how many of Roeh's injuries are on her left side (the side of her blind eye)

18. Most influential place in their life they ‘wandered into’?

Amlodi literally washed up on the shore of Thavnair, and at this point he considers it more his home than anywhere else he lived before - though that's not to say the previous place he ended up in by chance, Onokoro, wasn't influential - to be honest, his time in Thavnair would have been drastically different had he not spent time there.

its taken some time and there's been a bit of drama, but Amlodi is finally properly happy living in Thavnair after all these years. When he was pretending to have amnesia there was always this thought weighing on him that if everyone found out the truth, everything would be ruined and he would have to leave or worse. Nowadays, since its all out in the open now, he's been forced to realise he worried for nothing. Amlodi still acts like a grouch when he's helping out around Yedlihmad and Svarna, but deep down he's happy.
