Baby orange pumpkins ripening on the vine. Baby gray pumpkins plumping in the shade of their giant green canopy. Mammoth sunflowers taller than the house. And one transplanted teeny tomato. There have been challenges and successes in Ro’s experimental garden. My corn prematurely tasseled, my attempts to grow green onions and any types of flowers from seeds have failed, and we can’t keep up with the lettuce. I’ve revived a nearly dead hydrangea into a thriving shrubbery. It keeps me inspired. Every bit of greenery I’m responsible for is a victory. I even harvested poppy seeds and they’ve sprouted! I hope whenever you are, if you planted anything this year, I hope its inspired you!
