I'm curious, I realize this is an ECG, is there any possibility of using another common device like a pulse oximeter (that will show a pulse track) to look for warning signs in an austere environment where coordinating a medical evac might be necessary?
Not that I’m aware of. Pulse oximetry only measures oxygen saturation, so even when there’s signs of compromised oxygenation the cause of that isn’t clear. I have heard of portable machines to measure troponin levels (which is indicative of cardiac injury).
