A incredible commission by @marina-does-things of my wizard Rainivere (left) and her pirate girlfriend Ecstasy (right)! Sometimes, the first time you meet the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with, she holds you hostage to negotiate the terms of your party leaving her and her crew the hell alone. And you're incensed by it, obviously. ...but also, it was kinda hot. And sometimes, your paths keep crossing (you both know it's not by accident, but neither of you are going to be the first to admit it) and you end up wrapped up in each other's lives thoroughly enough that extrication seems impossible. Until one day, horrified, you realize you've fallen in l*ve.
I can't recommend marina-does-things's work highly enough! Their art always has such wonderful attention to detail. If you're looking for a commission, I would recommend checking them out!
The Thing Eating the Abyss (The Abeast)
Finished my level 20 high magic campaign the other day!!! Finally finished the 21 page PDF that was the final, epic level dungeon crawl inside the monster-slash-predatory planar system devouring the multiverse, dubbed the Abeast. And here it is! (Well, part of it, anyway).
For a better version of the PDF, as well as the Appendix, [go here].
dnd campaign finale tonight 😔

Episode 0: Intro (part 3)
Something isn’t right. The party has notes in their pockets, reminding them of a rogue they had in the party, of a creature watching them that can only be seen in mirrors, and a letter that has the words “oh god it ate him” scribbled in blood.
The townspeople seem like they’re missing things: a town with 60 people is practically empty, a fully stocked grocer has spoiled, there is another member of the party that owns this inn that no one wants to acknowledge or talk about.
It is in this strangeness that the Monk wakes up, on the floor next to the bed he fell asleep in, under the window. The wood panels across the window have been torn down, and a bloody message is written across the wall next to him. “ITS WATCHING THROUGH THE WINDOWS IT ATE HIM OH MY GOD IT ATE HIM”. Next to the note is a strangely familiar greatsword. The leather-wrapped handle is worn down enough that he can see the imprint of one hand in it as if someone wielded this great two-handed weapon in one hand. Seemingly unrelated to the writing on the wall, the monk has a wound on his right arm and blood on his left hand.
The Cleric has a vision and seems to have a psychotic break. She orders the party to go to the All Faith’s temple. On their way they are waylaid by the Night’s Watchman, just getting off of his shift again. He asks them how they’re enjoying the town. The party notices the lack of a bell ringer and asks about it. He tells them that the town has never had a bell ringer, but he’s sure some strong young people like the party members can find employment as bell ringers.
As the Night’s Watchman is speaking, the party’s ears pop collectively again and they watch in horror as a face appears, too long and bare, attached to a too long neck, and it bends to swallow the Night’s Watchman whole.
The cleric casts silence on the False Hydra and they begin combat against the creature that has been eating the town and wiping it from their memory.
