@amnesiacdreams liked a post-game vr starter call!
If it weren’t for him furiously mashing the buttons of the glaring arcade machine in front of him, the heavy shaking of his feeble limbs would be obvious. Ouma had neither slept or eaten right in days, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. From the start to the end of the killing game he had been alone, even in his death. A few weeks ago he would have never easily given up on his life, but now he felt like an empty shell.
His lips twitched at the thought. Maybe that was how Hoshi had felt all this time. No, it was the same, yet different. Ouma hadn’t only killed, he had betrayed, himself and everyone else, and now he was nothing more than lifeless puppet hated by both its audience and its owner.
He didn’t feel like himself anymore. At all costs had he avoided talking to any of the other survivors, despite them being cooped up at the Future Foundation to supposedly recover together. If he spoke, it was only to tell the others off and push them away. By now he had given up on measures of ending himself or running off, so he mostly had his peace, too.
Though as his shivering silhouette stood before the arcade machine and lost another round, he was so deep in thought, he didn’t notice the tall figure approaching him.
