So I'm settling in here at Rexburg (again) finally and a lot of things in my life that I didn't think would happen or thought would happen later are working out. I'm actually way excited. But I would be remiss to say it had nothing to do with me reading the scriptures everyday and praying as often as I can. I strive my best and my hardest to do what I'm supposed to do. And yeah sometimes I fail and struggle, but for the most part I'm doing pretty dang well. I seriously love how well prayer works. So many things have become understandable and I have been brought so much peace through praying about it. And when I read the scriptures I can't help but love them more than ever. I'm reading the Old Testament so I'm encountering a lot of stories that I'm not super familiar with and yeah some of them are really difficult to read, but they help me understand so many things. Oddly enough quite a lot of them (if not all) have relevance today. Our problems, though pretty different, have only evolved from what they were then. All of a sudden we're adding in technology and other things that are specific to our time, but the sentiment still remains. We still have the same issues. We still need to face those issues. And one way to do that is through being aware of your history. If you don't understand your history and how it happened, how could you possibly think you'll understand your present? Pray about it. Read about it. Please learn about it. 💚💚💚 #prayer #OldTestament #Amnoristheworst #stillstuckonthat
