Strikhedonia - The pleasure of being able to say “to hell with it”.

Eren was fourteen years younger than him. Fourteen. He had been in his mother's cozy womb while Levi was discovering the uses of his dick and the wonders of high school (i.e. drugs and hot teachers). 

Levi had his license before Eren learned to talk. Levi had probably already lost his virginity when had Eren lost his first tooth. 

He couldn't do this. 

But the younger boy wouldn't stop talking to him, showing him that 34 and 20 wasn't too long of a distance. But it was and holy shit he genuinely confused for what to do about this. 

So Levi made a list. Organization helped in times of crisis.

He'd be 40 years old and Eren would be 26. Shrinking away from the paper, because oh god he seriously couldn't be considering this anymore, this was way too much, Levi let out a deep breathe. But then he remembered the way Eren would make him coffee and offer it with a smile in spite of Mondays existing.

Okay, he'd try again.

60 and Eren would only be 46. Wow. Still not making him feel better. 70 and Eren would be 56. Not helping. 80 and 66. Hmmm. Not... terrible, per-say. 

"What are you doing?" Eren looked over his cubicle and Levi nearly punched the kid in the stomach he was so surprised. "Whoa, I come in peace." Eren quickly backed away and looked to the now crumpled piece of paper in Levi's hand. "What are you hiding?" 

"Nothing." He said it too quickly. Eren narrowed his eyes. 

"What's in your hand?" 

"Your death certificate." Levi clutched it tighter. Eren rolled his eyes. 

"Is it so embarrassing that you won't tell me? Which is funny, I didn't think you were capable of human emotion." 

"Ha." Levi turned around, but didn't let go of the paper. "You're hilarious." 

A sigh and hand trailing down his sleeve. 

"Come on, Levi." Eren whined against his neck, dragging out the last vowel. "Just tell. I won't judge." 

"It's personal." Levi sat up, ramrod straight, causing Eren to bump his chin and bite his tongue. 

"Ow!" 

Levi turned around, sighing. 

"It's nothing, trust me. And sorry." 

"It's okay," Eren poked out his tongue, crossing his eyes to look at the muscle. "My fault, Levi." He pronounced it 'We-why' and Levi felt his heart skip. 

Why was that heart-skipping worthy? It absolutely was not. 

Eren put his tongue back in his mouth a second later as Levi kept staring, feeling ridiculous. 

"Hey, so, um, I was wondering." Eren began and looked over to the cubicles next to them. Everyone, who had been watching, quickly rolled back to the desks. Eren switched his gaze to his feet. "I-I came to ask you something--why I came over in the first place, I didn't mean to harass you. I wouldn't do that, you're too cool for that, you're the best." His voice went a few octaves higher.

Oh. 

Yeah. This was why he was in love with the kid. 

"I know this really great place," Eren cleared his throat, his voice cracking on the word 'great'. "Well, I mean, it's not the place so much as the people. My sister is in a play and I have an extra ticket and I know you're a big fan of 'Henry V' so, would like to? Go? With me?" 

And in that moment, of Eren looking incredibly out of his element and adorable, Levi said 'to hell with age'. It was just a stupid number. So he responded with a nod and a gentle smile. 

It wasn't until Eren picked up a piece of paper that Levi realized he must have dropped the list. 

He lunged for it. Eren yelped (taking down a cubicle wall and a very surprised, but amused Hange).

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this!! It seemed like a fun meme though so I wanted to try it anyway. Also if you’re one of the 10 who gets a message from me please don’t feel obligated at all! I just did it for fun~

1. If you read my blog, you probably have realized by now that I’m married! I’ve been with my husband for nearly 8 years. I love him because he’s exceptionally kind, thoughtful, easy-going, has a youthful heart, and he’s a dreamer <3 I’ve got a thing for beautiful dreamers~

2. I’ve lived in Japan for five years now. I’m originally from the US. I spent my last year of college here and then got an English teaching job, which I love. I teach an age range between 0-90 years old, but my favorite ages to teach are 2-4yo. I adore kids!!

3. Random stats, assuming they say anything about the kind of person I am: I am a Taurus! I was born in the year of the Dragon! My blood type is B! I am an ENFJ!

4. Besides fandom, my hobbies include cooking/baking, fashion/styling, and watching TV (shhh, that counts!) I used to draw and I took art classes for 7 years but alas, my motivation muse seems to have passed on (though inexplicably, the ideas seem to keep coming, which is slightly frustrating.) Oh, and I also used to play the cello! I still have a big soft spot for the Orchestra x) My newest hobby is translation (thanks to SNK!) which I really like a lot! It’s super mentally stimulating and I hope I can be really good at it someday…

5. In between work, daily life, and translation, I’ve also started work on a doujinshi collection project. Since I joined the SNK fandom this year, I have already acquired at least a couple hundred books which is INSANE but I’ve read every single one and I still want more *3* I’ll provide info, links, and detailed summaries to all my books, so if you like doujinshi, please keep a look out for it!! I’m hoping to go live with it by the end of August but life keeps me pretty busy so we’ll seeeeeeeeee ;3;

That’s how his name is pronounced in the Japanese version. ミケ•ザカライアス = mi-keh za-ka-ra-i-a-su. I haven’t watched the dub but it sounds like they’re trying to stay true to the original, since his name isn’t actually “Mike” as we know it (from Michael)

and i can understand if they want to do that but there's no real consistency between their usage of japanese pronunciation and americanized pronunciation so i'm just like. pls choose one or the other
