Step 1 of the a Texas Two-Step. A fan gameday at TCU. #HornedFrogs
Country Roads led this group of West Virginia fans to Ft. Worth A picture perfect fall evening greeted me as I drove to Ft. Worth and the campus of Texas Christian University. The fifth-ranked Horned Frogs were hosting Big 12 foe West Virginia in a primetime Thursday night tilt. It was my first time visiting TCU to see a game and the thing that struck me, as I walked through the campus was…

Stuart Davis 1919
Self Portrait, Amon Carter Museum [x]
Stuart Davis was known for his modern works and contributions to the Ashcan school of Art. Here, an early work in his career, he shows influence of the Fauves and expressionists in his self portrait but his style would trend towards the American paintings. After the Armory Show of 1913 the center of the Western Art Tradition wold shift fro it's historic point of Paris and Europe to America and New York City.
