A while ago a separate person also claimed you were Syristones and that you were a “bad friend” to them but they deleted their account
I know who that was and I chose not to address then. They were mad at me because I blocked them on Tumblr and discord.
At the time, we hadn't spoken in a couple of weeks.
I blocked them because I was dealing with a lot and my mother had recently been diagnosed with very serious cancer (which she is still battling) and that person's posts at the time were really hard and unsettling for me to read as they often portrayed someone grieving the loss of their own mom to cancer in a way that was difficult for me to see.
I did not confront them because I had no desire to control what they put on their blog but I also didn't think that it was necessarily the safest time for me to confront them directly and thought they would not take it well which they didn't as they doxed me in retaliation to being blocked -- and adding in an edit: which they didn't see for over a week, and it's not like they had been following me either when I had blocked them???.
I blocked them just to protect my peace, but I have not been in contact with them since-- also, I haven't known peace since either. :/
I was doxxed. I was accused of cursing someone (that I did not curse). I was called all sorts of things.
It was disappointing, but I guess unsurprising. And hearing about through anons and from people sending me the post really affirmed my fear of that person not handling me wanting to cease contact well at all.
If this whole situation is in regards to that person, I guess y'all see what I mean too.
Coudl you explain your "#if your blog is full of reblogs that show up red on shinigami eyes you're getting blocked" tag? I've never heard of Shinigami ??? What is this apparently glorious tool ???
oooh my friend, it is glorious.
it’s a web browser extension you can download pretty easily, and it makes it so that links to trans-friendly resources turn green, and anti-trans turn red. pretty nifty way to spot terfs and terf sympathizers when a mere blog search or cursory scroll through their posts yields no results: if someone’s url turns red or if they’re reblogging from a lot of red urls, you know something fishy is up. it works on other web pages, like news sources and wikipedia articles, not just tumblr!
you can also flag users/links that post transmisogynistic / anti trans stuff, and their urls will appear as red. of course, since it’s a user-based flagging method, it’s not infallible, but so far i’ve never come across an unjustified red url. some users will not have been flagged yet so you have to stay vigilant, but overall it’s a very accurate and helpful tool.

See you say this but I actually have been walking around my house in this stunning boudoir robe all week and I v much feel like an elven queen
I think our minds work alike. :D :D
Today I’m wearing a replica of Arwen’s mourning dress. I’ve even gardened with it and tried not to trip to my death while carrying laundry from one floor to the other.

I honestly wish I had grandparents worth checking up on. But out of the only two worth a damned, one died well before I was born- and the other died when I was 16. I wish I'd had more time with him, and had been closer distance wise.
I’m sorry to hear this. :(
I miss my maternal grandparents thoroughly. Even though they are gone now, they remain with me. Same for the grandparents I barely knew.
I really hope that if I have children, they will get to have at least a little bit of time with their grandparents.

I wanna know which one of you is affording 100+ vacations tbh
I’m bad at math XD... But come to think of it. Yeah... 100 vacation.... Well, maybe they mean 2h vacation trips to the park just around the corner?

same for italy, they're planning for schools to stay shut down at least until april 3rd, it's kinda scary
in portugal there’s no community transmission yet, so most schools are up and running. however, according to an email i received late yesterday, one of the students of the faculty was confirmed sick, after coming into contact with another confirmed case who’d returned from italy. so... they shut down the whole building of the faculty of pharmacy and biomedical sciences. i mean, it’s good they’re being careful, i’m just wondering how my friends who are still back there are faring

Stay safe!
thank you darling, i shall try! here in lithuania there’s only one confirmed case but my erasmus has ended and i’m returning home tuesday, while still sort of sick myself, through germany, then oporto (which seems to be a hotspot in portugal), and then ponta delgada, on to my island and my home town. four flights in one day is a challenge even when i’m healthy and there’s no global pandemic causing upheavals, now... we’ll have to see.
but at least when i return home i won’t even be in my uni city, and the uni closing doesn’t affect me as i have no classes this year and my sole duty is to write my thesis.

You O N L Y paid 130 for a blood test ????????????????/
aaaand there it is, the reaction i anticipated :’) i’m sorry to hear this seems low to you, but to me it’s wildly above what i’m used to spending in a health crisis.
i actually paid probably 60-70€ for the blood test itself, 60-70€ for the consultation, for that total of 130€. in portugal, i would have paid maybe 10€ altogether at a public hospital.
at the private clinic i usually go in oporto, my health insurance’s protocol means i’d pay the same or less there too (consultations were no more than 4€, blood tests too). but even without health insurance, i could trust the public system there a lot better than i do here in lithuania — everyone has discouraged me from going to public ER, saying they’ll turn me down unless i have a super high fever or like. a ruptured appendix, profuse bleeding, or poisoning, or some immediate life-or-death situation like that. or they’ll tell me to schedule an appointment, for which the wait lines are prohibitive unless you know someone on the inside, or are willing to grease the gears with bribes. for everyone and everything else, you’re forced to go private, because the public sector is under-regulated and underfunded.
but i can’t complain much; lithuania is worse than portugal, certainly, but it’s nothing compared to the insanity of the US healthcare system.
a word of advice for my young american followers of voting age: get off your asses and go vote in support of full medicare for all. trust me, you’ll come to regret it otherwise when you find yourself in a time of need.
