I'm really happy all the sincaraz fic I've read are mostly fluff and all the characters are respected . Like even if carlos is the top which is not my favorite type it still chill and cool , y'all need to follow the good accounts and stop giving views to the one that doesn't respect carlos .

tbf I rely on recs from my anon, I try my best to not go to ao3 tag cause it pisses me off most of the time.

but yeah agree sincaraz fans need to stop hyping and giving attention to blogs/writers who dgaf about Carlos or clealy hate him....(but then again these tend to be Jannik biased mostly so his fans obviously see no issue with it 🥀). in that case Carlos stans should deffo tune them out 🤷🏽‍♀️

someone once left a comment in one of my fics, and it was very nice, no hate to this person, but it was all about how different "my" Carlos was and how great he seemed in this specifically, and I was like... tell me what type of sincaraz fics you've been reading without telling me which type of sincaraz fics you've been reading

I fucking hate that most popular s*ncaraz fics caters to these kind of deranged freaks that hates Carlos and say the vilest stuff about him (I bet they eat up j*no where he's a brainless animal rap*st, that older alpha coach carlos who's a predator and deadbeat etc). I used to be a sncrz fan on twitter, even when most Carlos fans were anti. It truly changed last year for me, because one half of sncrz fans really treated Carlos like a usefull idiot. They trashtalked him, 'how he is not as good as they say he is, that he is an inconsistent flop, that he is dumb' etc.

Until he loses to J and then its suddenly, 'aww look at this cutie'. Its clear that some sncrz fans dont like Carlos like that. Its oke to prefer one over the other, but thats not the case with the group we are talking about.

I legit watched in real time a carlos hater starting to like sincaraz after he lost in 6 kings slam and atp final. I'm waiting for them to drop the gimmick whenever carlos wins the next match up and go back to calling him all sort of names and hating on him lol

idk for me it’s a bit of a drought cos i don’t like either of them - lestappen has become to “cliche”, in a way that there is a set of fixed tropes and archetypes à la “omega princess in distress” and “kind alpha male” etc and therefore there is a lot of self repetition and lack of “bite” idk how else to express it, i think that this ship has ate itself in a way, and russtaopen is just not my cup of tee and there also seem to have extablished a fixed set of irreversible “tropes”. so. drought. -sigh-🚬🚬🚬

tbf lestappen has always been cliche where fic writers assigned Charles the trope of "pretty delicate omega princess of ferrari and Italy" and Max as the "brute violent alpha dominant daddy blah blah". thats one of the reaosn I was more into maxiel ao3 ficdom.

same things are happening with russtappen where George is "britush monarch diva stylish princess" and Max is the "blah blah random masculine assigned trope". one thing I dont like about russtappen is how George stans hate Max but they will be frothing at the mouth at russtappen (giving sincaraz truly lol).

and you will notice when theres crossover of ao3 /tumblr writers between tennis/f1, they're mostly Charles and George fans (recently Oscar has lots of tennis fans too) and they just transfer their "preferred" dynamic to sincaraz where their blorbo is the "blah blah pretty fae creature princess everyone worship the groud they walk on" and unfortunately they seemed to assigned Carlos as the "blah blah dom daddy alpha dumb dog puppy pathetic downbad".

I wish these writers would explore other Jannik ships and leave Carlos out of these subservient tropes that sometimes come across as demeaning (i dont have to mention fics but im sure you can find examples).

Unlike Carlos, Jannik has other ships, so i dont get why Jannik fic writers dont write for matteo/jack etc.

The Alcaraz online fandom has always been on the smaller side I think. I used to be on twitter and it felt like he only had 10 fan on there when he won his first US open.

But seeing people say stuff like he is fakeing his personality for attention/PR or how he isnt classy enough to resonate with people. Just makes me roll my eyes.

'When Fonseca wins it and Carlos doesn't we have to start a conversation'. A conversation about what, how someone won a fan award 😭

bruhhh why are fonseca fans beefing with us (or casuals trying to create rivalry between carlos and joao) 😭😭😭😂😂😂🤣 its so disrespectful to carlos how they're acting like they're on the same level. mind you carlos won his 1st gs at 19, and he literally won 2 gs this year including historical rg. it sucks how people belittle carlos as a person and his achievements 💔💔💔

The problem is that on both sides there are people who write Sincaraz fics just for the sake of getting kudos, even though they don’t actually like one of the two — not even as a player or as a person — and they only use him for writing. This happens with a lot of Jannik fans, but also with many Carlos fans, including some who always post “my baby”, “my creature”, but in reality do nothing but constantly belittle him.

The same thing happens the other way around, and I genuinely don’t understand how people don’t realize these are fake Sinneristas and fake Carlos supporters.

Unfortunately, it’s something that especially affects this ship… at least in Formula 1 they openly admit when they can’t stand one of the two people being shipped, while here there’s a lot of falseness

I've been to many fandoms from kpop to book to tv shows/films to Marvel to football to f1, and hands down tennis (which essentially means s*craz ficdom) is truly something else (I dont mean it in a complimentary way lol).

I've gone back to f1 for fics and its been nice to read something thats up my alley 😋 also thanku to anon who send me fic recs with bottom Carlos, truly appreciate you guys. saves me from going to hell (i.e. ao3 s*craz tag) 🫶🏼
