sorry david baldacci but fuck you, actually. Memory Man was released in 2015 you had no reason to use the world “transs*xual” in a book. also using dysphoria as a plot device when its painfully clear you like. don’t get it. even if everyone feels dysphoria differently this is not. that. you know. do some research. talk to trans people. jesus.

also, mr. baldacci, please shut up, neurodivergent people don’t need to “get better” or “be cured”. let Amos Decker be himself without having to get better. sure, he can learn to make relationships and become a bit more open, but doing things that don’t line up with the fact that he is neurodivergent from brain trauma to try and show ”””growth””” is actually dumb as fuck

also i love alex jaimeson so much but i am gay, in fact, and i like to ship canon with ocs so Darin takes Alex’s place. also who gives a shit im the only person this passionate about this series. I do acknowledge that like. Alex is awesome and David Baldacci isn’t like, creepy or gross when he writes her, but sometimes it’s obvious to see she’s written for the male gaze.

also fuck cops. sorry amos decker i know you’re a cop and FBI but the police force is currently enforcing racism and an abusive system that oppresses Black people. i dont care if Melvin is your awesome funny black friend that you white knighted out of jail but nothing will stop the fact that All Cops Are Bastards. 

that being said you can consume cop media and still enjoy it while being critical of it and being aware of the real life effects of the police as an institution and the oppressive systems that are deeply rooted in our country’s history.

anyways Memory Man is a good series. i liked it at least. im reading Walk The Wire right now. i’m invested.
