i need a hero II Gladys + Amos
Gladys was having an amazing night. The Great Hall looked amazing, and she had indulged in the punch a little bit more than usual. She had known that it was spiked, it always was, but she was seventeen, and if she wanted to get a little bit tipsy, than she was going to get a little bit tipsy. Nothing was going to stop her, not overprotective brothers, or her parents. But she hadn’t planned on getting drunk. There was a difference, and Gladys was being careful not to cross that line. However, not one to drink very often, she had miscalculated, not realizing that the punch was much more alcohol than it was regular punch. But she was having a good time, dancing and flirting with cute guys in costume, and that was all that mattered tonight, right?
She didn’t know how long she had been dancing, but she had lost her shoes at some point, the high heels that Davina convinced her to wear forgotten, her hair was a mess, and the gold crown that she had been wearing was going lopsided, but she was happy. She was tired, though, and she excused herself, loudly, from her partner, and started to weave through the couples dancing, bumping into people, apologizing all the way. As she walked off the dance floor, she stumbled, nearly tripping on her dress, and suddenly someone was there, steadying her.
She turned to thank, whoever it was that had stopped her from falling flat on her face, when she saw that it was Amos. Instead of blushing and getting embarrassed like she usually did, she felt a grin form on her lips.
“Amos!” She squealed, hugging him “My hero!”
