  There was something about her. & Jashin be damned he couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Could it be the perfectly swirled pigtails? The hairstyle alone screamed playful and innocent - two qualities Hidan loved to entertain and DESTROY -  and the way they bounced with even the slightest movement had him hypnotized. Or maybe it was simply the mystery of why a girl like that would be in a place like this. She stuck out like a beautiful, sultry square peg.

  Like a true SWINE the Reaper leers at her like blood meat ; like she was less of a character and more of an image. He was certain he wasn’t the first ( or the last ) to approach her that evening, but he enters the interaction with all the confidence of a true debaucherous bachelor.

UNPROMPTED  /  always  accepting  @amourise​​​  beseeched:  “Hey, let’s play a game ~ why don’t you stab me with one of your knives?”

             ‘MAKE-A-CACTUS’  WAS  INDEED  THE  SLASHER  PRINCE’S  FAVORITE  GAME,  but  something  about  the  catty  blonde  made  his  eye  twitch  from  behind  his  golden  fringe.  ... Like  he  was  being  teased.  Or  goaded  into  something  he,  frankly,  did  very  much  want  to  do,  but  only  on  his  own  terms.  He  was  prince,  after  all,  he  didn’t  take  orders  from  those  he  deemed  peasants.  

       Cheshire  grin  spreads  across  his  aristocratic  features  and  he  snickers,  raising  two  silver  knives  with  challenge. “I’ll  stab  you  when  I  want  to~”  Belphegor  insists  with  a  malicious  sneer,  “Because  I’m  a  prince.”  

      “So  just  sit  tight  and  wait.  Ushishishi~”  he  giggles  that  blood-curdling  cursed  noise  that  makes  even  the  bravest  of  hitmen  shiver  and  their  hair  stand  on  end ... knowing  that  Prince  the  Ripper  was  near.

              EVERYTHING  ABOUT  HER  WAS  A  LIE,  the  pretty  face,  the  lovely  utterance — she  was  a  devil  underneath  that  smooth,  creamy  skin,  and  Belphegor  was  the  only  one  who  wasn’t  bewitched  by  her  siren  song  and  could  see  the  monster  underneath.  The  prince  wasn’t  anyone  to  talk  though — he  was  just  as  much  of  a  demon  as  she  was,  but  Levi  was  tripping  over  his  already  quite  ineloquent  tongue   &&   Squalo  was  averting  his  stormy  grey  eyes  as  if  looking  upon  her  were  a  sin.  Coworkers  reduced  to  bumbling  fools — admittedly,  they  were  always  bumbling  fools,  but  around  her  especially  — their  resident  prodigy  could  only  click  his  tongue   &&   scowl  at  their  idiocy.  ‘If  only  Mammon  were  still  here.’  

       ‘Course,  Belphegor  didn’t  fall  under  her  seductress’s  spell;  after  all,  he  was  a  prince.  He  had  seen  first  rate  belles  dressed  up  in  silk  gowns    &&   a  fortune’s  worth  of  diamonds  wait  on  his  father,  completely  nonplussed.  They  looked  best  in  red,  after  all — and  he  wasn’t  talking  about  the  dress.  Beauty  was  in  the  eyes  of  the  beholder,  and  Prince  the  Ripper  could  only  see  perfection  in  himself   &&   in  a  pallid  corpse  studded  with  his  silver  knives   &&   soaked  in  its  own  crimson  gore.  

       It  was  a  rarity  that  the  Varia  worked  alongside  their  clients,  even  among  mafia  family,  hiring  a  Varia  assassin  meant  letting  him  do  all  the  dirty  work — but  the  mission  required  an  official  member  of  the  famiglia  to  be  present;  it  really  was  a  pain,  and  Xanxus  would  not  have  accepted  the  request  if  not  for  the  lucrative  sum  of  wealth  the  don  was  offering  for  their  cooperation.  “Hey,  you  better  not  get  in  my  way,”  Belphegor  addresses  Catherine  haughtily,  pressing  his  lips  together.

His first instinct was to be defensive. She had no proof (other than the few titles stashed away in his bedroom) that he read the kind of manga she was talking about. Unless, of course, she’d seen him reading them at some point... If that was the case, he was screwed -- but it didn’t seem to be much of a bad thing with how she’d phrased everything. She could do more than they did? Ichiro would have been lying if he’d said he wasn’t interested in seeing how that could pan out. 

“If I ask you to prove it, you’re not going to call me an asshole, are you?” While he might have sounded like he was teasing, he was entirely serious. A pervert, he could handle being; but there was a difference between a respectful pervert, and a straight up asshole. He propped himself up on his elbow, reaching out for her with one hand to draw her closer to his bed. If they were going to make something of the moment they’d found themselves in, they needed to do it quickly. 

“We’ve only got about twenty minutes to play with before they get back--” at least, that was how long it would take them to finish the task they’d taken for themselves anyway. Whether or not they stayed out longer was entirely up to his brothers. Still, it was best to work in the timeframe they knew they had (and then play it by ear after that.) “Think that’s enough time to prove yourself?”

Instinctively, Ichiro opened his mouth to say she didn’t need to apologize. It had practically become a habit, but no words would come out of the jumbled mess in his head. A demon? He’d thought those things were make believe! Urban legends and ghost stories to tell people to scare them out of a restful night’s sleep… and now he was dating one?!

Again, he tried to speak, but got nothing. Too stunned to think of anything that was worth saying, and that also wouldn’t come out as unintelligible word vomit. Instead, he raised his hands in a show of surrender and shook his head. What could he say?! What was there to say?! A demon. A fucking demon! Beyond that — a demon he’d allowed into his home! Around his brothers! That’s when he found his voice again.

“If you did anything to Jiro or Saburo, not even the devil himself could save you from what I would do to you.” Aggression had him stepping forward; fists trembling with the rush of anger and adrenaline. No way was he going to let her anywhere near them again unless he was absolutely sure nothing would happen to either of them. Demon or not, he would protect them with all he had.

Sure, appearances could be deceiving. Though the lady looked like a model, there was a look in her eye that told Adachi that she meant every word she said, bitchy as those words were. Doesn’t stop his ego from making him retaliate, though. 

“Oh, sure, but I think I could handle you just fine. After all, all chicks are the same in my book: Not worth my time.

Don’t think that you’re the type to try and be all talk though, just that you probably don’t wanna get your hands dirty. Have someone else do the heavy lifting and sock this sorry son of a bitch in the face for not calling you angel and begging for your number, huh?”
