No attempt at redirecting the conversation. No repeat of the original question. Can Ramuda, really and truly, hear the sound of the pen against paper?
âAn identity is just like clothing, duuuuh!â
He says instead with a wide smile, giving Gentaro the grace of pretending to be oblivious.
âYou gotta try on clothing to see if you like it! If you wanna change up styles, you can do that! The dreamerâs identity is just like that, but with extra steps for the hair, y'knoooow?â
Is it truly as tricky as Gentaro says it is? Ramuda thought itâs always been simple. But then again, perhaps the difference here is that Gentaroâs a liar and Ramudaâs an actor.
âAnd also the dreamer should go to the fairy tale version of a drag bar!â
Ramuda may be an oblivious leader because a tailor friend doesnât exist in the story, but that doesnât mean he canât be a little silly!
Gentaro stopped âwritingâ in his little book, now giving thoughtful taps to his lips with said pen.
âClothing and identity.... Tis one thing to you? So if you were to change up that style of yours, your identity would as well? My my, what an interesting thought that doth be.â
Gentaro closed his book and began to fan himself with it.
âPffft -- Haha. A fairy tale version of a drag bar? Yes, yes... That can exist if we doth wish it. Fantasy gives lots of freedom for ones mind to create whatever theyâd like, you see. From dragons, to little elves. To world domination to peaceful living -- What one writes, or thereof wishes to write of, is so very endless.â
Now heâd look away for a moment, then back to Ramuda.
âPerhaps once this draft of this book tis done, I shalt allow thee to read it first, yes? But of course, the drafts always differ from the final product. Like silken threads weaved into an elaborate dress~â
