Gol D. Sanji au where Sora was Roger’s daughter that no one but Roger’s crew, very close allies and judge knew about. Sora only told Sanji that she was Roger’s daughter and told him stories about the adventures she went on with them. Sanji’s childhood continues as canon up until the rock because Zeff recognises him as Sora’s son immediately and becomes extra protective of him since he believes that Sanji is the last of the Gol D. family since he doesn’t know about Ace. Sora was raised on the Jackson since her mom was out of the picture and was considered to be with Shanks and Buggy, so when Buggy pulls up to the Baratie he sees Sanji, and, since he’s a carbon copy of Sora, immediately recognises him and becomes like a helicopter parent but worse. Everything continues as canon up until Sabaody where Rayleigh pulls him aside and asks about his mother, to which Sanji says that she’s dead but refuses to say anything else.
Marineford happens as canon and Ace still dies, but Sanji is extra distraught since he learns that Ace was his uncle and is now dead. Sometime after the timeskip, sometime after Egghead, Sanji is kidnapped by the marines and is set to be executed since they found out that he’s Roger’s grandson. The announcement and lead up to the execution would play out like Warlord!Sanji except it’s everyone who knew Sora (Buggy, Shanks, Rayleigh, etc.) who shows up along with the Strawhat grand fleet and all other allies.
They manage to save Sanji with minor casualties but Sanji does lose an arm. I don’t imagine that there’d be any romance in this au, mostly just a lot of people being very protective of Sanji in a familial way but you’re welcome to change that!
Hey thanks, my heart is breaking. And I just wrapped up the other Gol!Sora. Horrifying. We're all freaks for pain here. Also just imagine, because Rayleigh is also blond, a Silvers!Sora. This hurts so much and is so long.
Anyway just Roger meeting Rayleigh and them setting off with Roger's precious little girl and gaining crew and steam and notoriety. She is adored and when her brothers come along they're all adored. She takes to sharp shooting. Sora and her rifle are to be feared.
I know you said you don't imagine any romance here but just for fun imagine Marco and Sora growing up with rival captains but being absolutely smitten with each other to their adults dismay. Constantly saying as they grow up if they don't get blessings they'll just run off and start their own crew. Roger genuinely wanting to kill White Beard sometimes for his son. White Beard wanting to do the same for Roger's daughter. Buggy, Shanks, Thatch and them all find this rather hilarious.
Then before Roger's execution, before he turns himself in, she's stolen away without a trace. Rayleigh and them cannot find her and Buggy and Shanks are distraught they're older sister is gone and it's rocking the pirate world Roger's daughter has disappeared without so much as a note. No ransom, no struggle.
Just gone. No one knows anything. Linlin would have made it obvious, as would have Newgate and Marco is clearly also distraught she's gone. There's nothing from Wano, hell even Garp doesn't know anything. The Vice Admiral looks genuinely confused why Roger and Rayleigh are asking him until he hears how she just vanished.
Then Roger goes to his execution, the crew disbands. Buggy and Shanks go their separate ways. Sora tells stories to her daughter. Hidden away in some wing of a North Blue kingdom. No one knows she's there, the man made sure of it. Her weapons stripped of her, stuck in medical ward of seastone doors and barred windows. She still drinks the poison to try to save her boys. Only saving the one.
Sora tells Sanji stories of the Grand Line, never making it to Laughtale to watch over her younger brothers, of Roger and Rayleigh and the crew. The rivals and Marco and the joy and freedom she had. Sanji looks at her with pure wonder in his eyes and soul. Then she dies. Then he's locked away. Then freed and stranded on a rock.
Zeff looks at him like he's a ghost, even well after their salvation from the rock. Then there's another man who does. Sanji recognizes him from the stories. Buggy immediately latches to him like a leech almost. Sanji kind of just accepts his fate. Being the last of the Gol D. line is a hell of a problem. He grows up, hiding every part of himself from those who don't know. He has a fantastic facade, just like his uncle. No one knows. As far as the world is concerned the Gol lineage is gone.
Canon happens, Sanji sets off with Luffy, sees Crocus who looks at him and Sanji knows about him, but if he's here, just like Buggy in the East Blue, it's better for the nod of acknowledgement before they're off again. He still breaks his back on Drum, meets Ace on the way to Alabasta, throws Crocodile for several loops. Canon stuff. Then on Sabaody, after he's done looking over Luffy, Rayleigh looks at Sanji and hides his reaction well enough that no one catches the hitch in his breath. At the bar Rayleigh steps outside with Sanji, no one follows them thanks to Shakky and Rayleigh just pulls the blond to him and holds him tight and Sanji holds on back.
"Sora, where is she?" Rayleigh asks after a moment, pulling from Sanji just to look at his face better.
"She died, thirteen years ago." Sanji answers. Rayleigh nods and pulls the kid back in for one last hug.
"She was as much my daughter as she was Roger's. You're my grandson just as his." Rayleigh says softly and Sanji nods before they go back in. Then they're scattered off Sabaody by Kuma. Ace dies in front of Luffy, protecting Luffy. Sanji is having a panic attack over the paper on Kamabakka. Sanji knows realistically he's not alone, he has Rayleigh and Buggy and Zeff, but he's the last again. If anyone finds out, it'll be worse. Because of Judge, because of Sora and Roger and Ace. Sins of the blood.
When the crew is back together Sanji acts as if nothing has changed, though Rayleigh seems to be letting a breath he was holding out at the sight of him. Then Luffy comes back and all hell breaks loose. But Sanji waves goodbye to his grandpa, and Rayleigh watches with Shakky as they depart, satisfied smiles on their faces. Shakky can notice the relief in her husband, knows the man wishes for more answers he won't get. She kisses his cheek and leaves him to watch the horizon.
Canon continues, no one notices anything until Zou when Cat Viper looks at him and laughs after they save the minks.
"Anyone ever tell you you look like Roger's daughter?" The mink grins at him.
"Roger had a daughter?" Nami asks with confusion making the mink laugh.
"A real gem of a pirate. She and Marco were besotted with each other, she was Shanks and Buggy's older sister, hell of a sharp shooter too!" Cat Viper smiles widely before frowning. "She disappeared shortly before Roger's execution. I don't think any of us ever recovered from her loss."
"I'm sorry for your loss." Sanji says before leaving the hut to feed the others. Then he goes with the Bege and Caeser. Thinking he could save his crew. WCI has the Charlotte family is fairly positive that the kids Judge presents are the children of Sora. Especially after they see Sanji. Judge disagrees, they are not Gol children. No one would have been foolish enough to kidnap her, those who knew of her at least.
During the escape Judge promises Sanji it's not over and Sanji's gut sinks like a stone. Nami and Luffy only hear about when he's snubbing Sanji's good traits as failures. His brothers and Reiju are mutated enough that even if it came out who their mother was nothing would happen to them. Sanji's pretty sure after this they won't come for him again.
In Wano, after the raid and the pact Nami and Brook ask Marco about Sora while Cat Viper points Sanji out to Dogstorm about the similarities. Marco looks genuinely taken aback they know about Sora and how much Sanji fucking looks like her.
"I never moved on if that's what you're asking." Marco frowns. "And after Ace, I think the government got what it wanted."
"Cat Viper said she just vanished, but there's hardly any record of her at all." Nami pushes and Marco stares.
"Buggy also convinced the world he died when he didn't so take what you see with a grain of salt, kid." Marco says before he leaves to catch a ride on the Red Force, asking Shanks if he knows of anything the cook of the Strawhats. He doesn't know but he remembers the first time he saw the kid's photo, how much it looked like his big sister. Marco nods before he goes back home to settle into retirement. Sanji settles into the lies easily, he's used to it after all.
Then after everything on Egghead, rescuing Bonney and kicking the elder and fighting Borsalino, it happens almost the same way it did to his mom. Sanji wakes to sea stone cuffs and chains, a sea stone cell and top Navy personnel looking at him like he's a rabid dog. Maybe he is with the way he thrashes. Then he hears discussion of his pending execution and he stills.
Judge really had sold him out as Sora's only human child this was punishment. Sanji swallows at his pending mortality. With no way to get a message out he was fucked. The Strawhats are looking desperately for their cook, the fleet they had amassed coming together to search when a video like Vegapunk's plays across the world. A news broadcast, a photo of a beaten Sanji, chained to the wall by his wrists and ankles and an announcement of the capture of Gol D. Sora's only living child and his pending execution. He wonders if this is how Ace felt.
Sanji tries to keep an eye on the battle but it quickly becomes a blur of spectacular powers clashing. It's spectacular and horrifying and Sanji yells for them to leave. There's shouts back, but he can't understand them over the sounds of the war. Then he's almost all alone on the platform as the higher ranks join into the battle in front of him. Then Buggy is there with Galdino just like at the Summit War and they're pulling Sanji along for escape.
It feels like a dream, his grandfather's crew and his captain and his crewmates coming to save him, his uncles and theirs. He's running and fighting as theirs shouts about getting him to a ship. Any ship. Just get him away. Just like at Marineford, Akainu is looking at Luffy in anger. Sanji remembers the scar and sees the punch and he can't stop himself just like Ace.
Maybe it's a Gol thing.
He shoves Luffy out of the way and there's pain. Burning, searing pain shooting up into his right shoulder that steals his breath in his shoulder as Luffy stares at him. Eyes wide then narrowing in pure wrath as he looks at the fleet admiral. Marco's in front of him suddenly with Robin as Shanks and Rayleigh rush past and Sanji looks.
Oh, Usopp is holding his arm.
Wait.
Usopp has his arm? He's like ten feet away. Sanji looks back at Marco as Hongo yells to get him to the Red Force and then they're hauling ass again. Sanji is getting kind of dizzy and Crocus is waiting for him. Sanji looks at him, having not seen him since they made it into the Grand Line and he looks properly horrified at the state of them. Sanji is rushed into the infirmary and maybe the shock finally hits, maybe there's a wave of Conquerors haki to lay him out, maybe it's blood loss, all he knows is that he blacks out.
He wakes up seas know how long later. Luffy is asleep on his legs, Sanji moves to pet his hair when he realizes his dominant hand is gone. Right. Usopp had it. Clearly he's going to need to relearn somethings as he pets Luffy with his left. It makes his captain blink and sit up and start yelling at him but honestly Sanji isn't listening. They both lived. Sanji just gives Luffy a tired smile because he's pretty doped up, understandably as others come in. Buggy looking the most upset while Rayleigh looks annoyed, Shanks follows with the some others while just having relief on his face.
"You all are the same." Buggy says with a glare. "I already called Zeff for you."
"Mm, thanks." Sanji mumbles while Rayleigh sighs and rubs his face and Shanks looks at his younger brother.
"So we owe Zeff but also need to take Germa out?" Shanks grins.
"Oh yeah, a lot. Since he didn't out me or Sanji." Buggy nods. "You got a place for the other kids though?" He asks and Beck's call of 'No!' from deck makes Shanks glare back through the door.
"I told you not to do that again." Luffy says to Sanji who blinks at him, still tired. So the cook just pats his head again.
"Get some rest, kid. You got a lot of people eager to meet ya." Rayleigh says. Sanji nods and even Luffy is pulled out of the room too to let the blond sleep and heal.
When Sanji finally comes on deck a few days later, there's loads of smiles and cheers and soft touches welcoming him back. There's a photo of Shanks and Sanji with stumps on display while Luffy yells at them. Buggy and Chopper harping on the cook while Rayleigh keeps planting kisses on Sanji's hair like he used to do to Sora. Sanji tells Marco his mom never moved on from him either and gets his hair ruffled and a sad smile from the Zoan. Franky shows him some plans for prosthetics and Sanji just asks for something with moving fingers and super plain. Franky calls him lame.
Still, he's alive and when there's news of the former Roger pirates and their brats raiding Germa, Sanji laughs. Even as Luffy parks himself under what's left of his right arm and wraps rubber limbs around him while he smokes at the Sunny's railing.

When Law first hears Luffy, Ace, and Sanji speaking it after Punk Hazard he asks why they would know it and Zoro is confused that Law speaks jungle child which makes Law rub his temples. This crew, this god damned crew, it's been a day. He has a migraine already. Law asks about it at some point and Luffy says Sanji taught it to them. Law looks at the cook who is smoking with a cocked eyebrow.
Then he checks their injuries from Marineford and admires Sanji's leg courtesy of Franky and deems them all fine, why wouldn't they be? The three of them are monsters. They're feral as well he finds and they almost exclusively talk to each other in Northern. Robin will occasionally chime into the conversation with common but none of the other crew speak it or understand it.
In Dressrosa as the half of the crew is resting in the cabin Law is shocked to find another feral brother, who is the Chief of Staff in the Revolutionary Army and Robin knows him and Fire Fist and him are speaking in fluent Northern but Sabo's accent sounds almost as naturals as Sanji's. Sabo asks where Sanji is and Ace says he went to Zou under Law's orders. Also they know Law has been allowed in the galley when he and Luffy aren't and Robin is giggling as Law is flushing. He is so red and Sabo is losing it as he gives Law approval as long as the other two do. Robin responds that's very sweet of him in common and everyone asks what that means.
After whatever arc, when the brothers are all together and they're laying on the grassy lawn of the Sunny. They're pointing at constellations and talking of their dreams, that Luffy is a god now, the Northern falling from their mouths like a gentle rain in the jungle. They talk about their memories of Foosha and Windmill Village and Dadan and how Sanji is going to bring her to the All Blue and how Ace talks about each one of them joining the family of bandits. Zoro, who is on watch, listens to the brothers talk in a language he doesn't understand but he can hear the hope and will and freedom of their voices and dreams.
Since North Blue has it's own lenguage, wouldn't it be funny if in like, ASL+S, Sanji just gets nervous or angry and start to talk in North Blue without even noticing? The ASL would be confused as hell-
Each Blue technically has its own language, but in the East Blue and Grand Line mostly common is spoken so Sanji in any of the ASL+S bullshit I have just getting scared and babbling in Northern Blue and his brothers staring at him like 'what is this gibberish?' and then Sabo realizing Sanji's from another Blue and rolling with it until Sanji gets excited and goes off in his native tongue about something as they stare at him and then ask for an explanation in a language they understand.
Sanji teaching it to his brothers and everything and like Sabo knowing Northern Blue in the revolutionary army as a child and no one can figure out why he would know that. Luffy and Sanji talk in it while they reminisce about Dadan and Foosha, Ace talks to Thatch excitedly in North Blue. They used it to keep secrets and have conversations.
In the verse where Sanji loses his leg and they're all in the White Beard fleet and Shanks and Marco are looking at them as the kids are all half awake just mumbling incoherently to each other in northern and Shanks and Marco are just staring at them in they're drugged fucking state and if the Heart Pirates are there most the have to be trying not to laugh as Law looks at them with confusion and Shanks asking them to translate and Shachi, Penguin, and Ikkaku eagerly telling them what dumb shit they are saying which is basically like 'shrimp are too good for us' 'shrimp are delicious and they have it coming' 'i can't feel my toes' and other exceptionally dumb shit.
In Dressrosa Sabo and Ace are talking in it at the cabin and Law is once again looking at them in confusion as they catch up like old friends and when he asks it's like 'Sanji taught it to us' and then straight back to northern as Robin laughs.

Marco took Shirohige!Sanji on a mission once, once and that got him yelled at for hours because Sanji was sixteen, suddenly had a 100m beri bounty. Sanji is the baby and White Beard knew he was dying and had to explain to Marco that his legacy would become Marco's and Sanji is the baby so he needs to take care of him. So of course Marco suddenly realizes he needs to kick Ace's ass when he starts dating Sanji, forget how cute it was that's his baby brother so Ace gets the deepest shovel talk of his life because they thought Teach was bad but somehow Ace still isn't as touchy with Sanji at twenty two than when he was eighteen because there's something about Marco threatening him with extreme bodily harm as a doctor and with a big smile that shook Ace to his core.
Ace definitely is all about protecting Sanji, especially after he loses his leg in the ASL+S amputee!Sanji. He also coddled Sanji when they were younger but he feels responsible for Sanji losing his leg and is all about helping Sanji with everything. Yeah the metal leg hurts when he gets kicked with it but he won't stop. Sabo finding out at Dressrosa that Sanji has metal leg and getting kicked with it at WCI is the proudest he's ever been because he remembers him and Ace always protecting him and Luffy so the fact Sanji is so strong now makes him so proud.
Ivankov has given Sanji so many talks about literally everything. Sanji, head of espionage and so young and willing to die for the cause, makes Ivankov actually worry because he can't tell if it's suicidal tendencies and the need to be useful or just reckless behavior so he of course talks to Sanji about that. He doesn't want anyone to die, let alone what might as well be the prince of Kamabakka.
honestly im kinda curious what would happen if some grandline bullshit happened and all of these sanjis from different backgrounds ended up meeting each other. bonus if they drag some ppl from their own worlds and end up in canon and canon!sanji is slowly losing his mind. all of the sanjis are. the only one happy with this is luffy because lots of sanjis are stress cooking
The ASL+S Sanjis are chatting easily. Amputee!Sanji tosses his fucking leg at Luffy on more than one occasion. Sora comes along with her Mihawk and shower their Sanji in love while Single Dad!Mihawk is looking at all these versions of his son while tracking which ones did not get any sort of care. Donquixote!Sanji is having a great time and probably propositioning almost everyone. Clown!Sanji asking if he can borrow a sword to swallow. Redhair!Sanji shit talking Shanks freely and openly but singing Benn his praises. Revolutionary!Sanji who brought his Sabo. Trafalgar!Sanji and his Law and Luffy, Law who suddenly realizes there's too many Sanji's and another Luffy and shambles the three of the to the crows nest for safety.
Fuck is that all of them idk but Zoro is out numbered and he doesn't know what to do. Nami is probably crying until only the canon Sanji is still like that. Shirohige!Sanji sitting while watching Canon!Luffy cling to his dead brother is probably making multiple Sanjis hurt though.

Revolutionary!Sanji wears pointe shoes. Someone in the Okama told him once they were the quietest shoes. So now he wears point shoes and probably knows how to make his own. Sabo also loves being kabedonned by Sanji because he uses his legs.
Trafalgar!Sanji has held Law's heart more than he wants to admit or is comfortable with. Law will randomly give it to him for a day when they're together as Sanji curses him out for it and threatens to send it to the ocean.
Amputee!Sanji breaks his prosthetic fairly often, nothing too hard for Franky to fix so he uses crutches when it's being fixed. Zoro keeps trying to convince Sanji to put something pointy on his prosthetic, Sanji says he will when Zoro's debt is paid to Nami.
Ooh what if sanji grew up with asl brothers somehow? like the orbit couldnt keep a kid around and dropped him off on goa and he ended up cooking for a bunch of feral boys who teach him that brothers dont always have to hurt
I have a lot of thoughts about ASL+Sanji. A lot. (There's so much under the cut, so much)
Sanji who's dropped off in Foosha and is just, jumpy and frightened and runs at every breath towards him. I feel like Makino would tell Luffy about him and when Luffy's first few approaches don't work he tells Ace and Sabo. Sanji who is staring at these three feral gremlins who keep showing up at his hiding spot and trying to talk to him and Luffy who keeps asking about his eyebrows and Ace and Sabo hitting Luffy making Sanji flinch and cower from them.
Sabo would probably be the first one to Sanji warms up to. Both coming from nobile families that hate them. Sabo could recognize the way Sanji holds himself from a mile away so they bond and then Luffy would be next probably. Especially if Sanji has started cooking for them.
Ace would probably be last because he has the hardest to form trust with and Sanji is still skittish and jumpy and he flinches all the time. Ace can't even raise his hand for a high five without Sanji flinching. One night when it's just them Ace asks Sanji if he's a monster and Sanji says no, he knows monsters, was almost killed by monsters and Ace is blinking at Sanji who says that all with so quietly and with so much hurt. Sanji is small and quiet and the best behaved out of the four of them but over time he becomes just as feral.
When Sabo "dies" the three of them are heartbroken and Ace and Luffy go to the extremes of over protectiveness for a while. Ace sets off on his little boat to become a pirate and Sanji is working under Makino who makes him set sail with Luffy because of his dream of the All Blue(effectively making Sanji the first crewmate which Luffy is so glad is his cook and his brother). I feel from there things progress normally, they pick Zoro and Nami, fight Buggy, pick up Usopp and destroy the Baratie.
I don't think anyone would notice that Sanji and Luffy are brothers and then in Alabasta when Ace is visiting Ace is talking with everyone Ace just drops the bomb that the three of them are brothers. Zoro is like trying to wring Luffy's neck and Nami and Usopp are yelling at the top of their lungs as Vivi, Karoo, Chopper and Ace watch. Then Luffy drops the bomb that Sanji broke his back on the last island and Ace is yelling at Sanji for not taking care of himself better and Sanji is yelling back about the avalanche and everything and Ace is just watching with such a pained expression on his face. He thanks the crew for taking care of his little brothers and apologizes for the handful that they are.
Things progress normally until Marineford where Sanji and Luffy manage to show up to save Ace. Like this is all going, they can't find their crew, their brother is going to be executed for being born. Sanji takes this way too personally because of what his birth father did and well if he couldn't give himself up at Thriller Bark for Luffy he will give himself up for Ace and Luffy fuck this admiral. Sanji throws his leg into the lava punch and it still hits Ace but it doesn't kill him.
Law suddenly has three brothers, all of which have been hit with fucking lava, the blond is losing a leg, the one that was supposed to be executed is losing his back tattoo and the one who punched a celestial dragon like a week ago has liquefied organs and the Red Force is following them after Marineford has been sunk???? Is that the fucking White Beard fleet??? Law is the theater for 56 hours before being able to hand these fucking idiots off and hopes he never sees them again.
Shanks and Marco are looking at their respective brat/brother/son/person and the third one with tilted heads and Ace and Luffy keep trying to climb into Sanji's head which makes Marco snap at them for, Luffy especially because of you know, liquefied organs. Ace and Luffy keep crying because Sanji lost a fucking leg for them and Shanks asks Marco if he knew there was another one and Marco says he thought the blond one was supposed to be dead.
Skipping to Dressrosa Ace and Luffy meet Sabo who is there to help on behalf of the revolutionary army and Sabo is pointing at both of them and they're both pointing at him. Sabo asks where Sanji is and if he's alive and Luffy is like "yeah, he just fired on Big Mom's ship, traffy sent him to Zou because Mingo hurt him but he's fine!" And Ace is like "Sanji's fine, he has a metal leg now but-" and that makes Sabo hit both of them with his pipe and yell at them for not telling him anything even though he didn't have his memories and Ace and Luffy yell back at him for being dead.
So I mentioned in an ask about an AU I have explored which is ASL+S Sabo just mercs Germa while rescuing Sanji with Luffy(I believe Ace is with the White Beard Fleet or what's left of it after Dressrosa) and this is Sanji's first time seeing Sabo and Sabo and Sanji are clinging to each other before Sabo is like "I gotta kill em now" and Sanji is like "I literally told Luffy he couldn't"
"well I'm a revolutionary so it's my job also metal leg?"
"I'll show you my metal leg!" And Sanji does, straight to Sabo's ribs.
