Amputee Outdoors

Videos on camping, hiking and backpacking. Not just for amputees, but that is the focus. My goal is to provide amputees with the knowledge and inspiration to get outdoors and enjoy it. :)

For my fellow amputees, just because we’re missing a part, doesn’t mean we should miss out!  Start small, a walk around the block maybe, push the limit a little each week.  Maybe you won’t hike up a mountain, but you’ll benefit from being outside and developing your strength. :)

Hiked to Bullitt Fireplace, (6 miles round trip, but I took the wrong trail and ended up doing 10 miles) and got some great photos and video.

Is it about being an amputee, or about nature?  Most of my videos on Amputee Outdoors I’ve tried to make a balance between hiking as an amputee and the hike itself.  I’ve received feedback that I should focus more on the hike, nature, the scenery, etc.  And those videos have received the most views.  Is this the direction I should go?
