i was thinking about these two last night, they’re the main characters from the short story i had to write this semester ! their names are amsden and robbie

amsden is a faerie who doesn’t really fit in with their faerie peers, for a few reasons. robbie did them a favor when they met so now they kind of owe her, she usually just calls them around to help her with errands like grocery shopping and that sort of thing though

robbie is a grungy late 20-something who’s recovering from, well, a lot of things, and kind of doesn’t know where to go from this point in her life but is determined to get... somewhere... somehow

they’re in love but they play it as a kind of “on again/off again” thing, which it really only is bc amsden lives in like... a different realm and everything

found this old guy today at one of the more *FRUITFUL* goodwill stores (yep im hilarious) that i frequent.

titled “branch of grapefruit” by artist “O.F. Amsden” as indicated by the gallery tag. a quick internet search yielded nothing so ill have to dive deeper when i have some time.

it is absolutely beat to shit. and while the frame is literally falling apart, it is all original.

and in my deeply inexpert opinion, it is very very old. my fav kind of thing

whatre the Big Biological Differences between our world and the faerie world?? also how did robbie and amsdan meet,

i can’t talk about wild and crazy fae Benis on this blog its like at least semi-sfw

but there’s a lot, i wouldn’t call any of it biological or “scientific”... theres like magic and stuff, openings to the faerie world can pop up at random and close really quick so ppl get stuck a lot. it tends to warp regular ppl if they get stuck in there for too long

but they met pretty soon after robbie got stuck herself ! obviously when a human shows up its a big deal, amsden wanted to see one up close before anything bad happened and got too attached too fast
