One way to test the central vision to see if there are any changes is to use an Amsler grid. To use this grid make sure you use your glasses and cover one eye. Do this test for each eye separately. Look at the center dot and keep your eye focused. While only looking at the center dot, make sure that all the lines are straight and that the small squares are the same size.
