Amsterdam, Netherlands
Today was a sleepy day. While the others were sleeping in our cabin, I sat on the front porch, bundled up in my blankets, and read Hamlet for class. I finished the book - but thats okay. It was very relaxing and I got to watch the plethora of bunnies hop around our camp site.
Once I finished the book and finally herded the rest of the group out of the cabin and into the city for our last time. We went in and saw a market and we then wandered around a bit more and souvenir shopped a bit more.
We then went to the best burger place ever. And in true respect for the culture - we had Heineken to accompany our burgers. We then ended up heading back to the hostel with a few Heineken of our own and relaxed in the campsite.

The Red Light District
We went to the red light district tonight and it was something else. Just hookers in windows pressing up for attention, sex shops everywhere, clubs with flashing red signs, and a VERY strict no pictures policy. We actually saw someone get in trouble for taking pictures from across the canal. But it was definitely an experience thats for sure.
After our stop at the I AMsterdam sign we got back on the canal tour. We were occupying a booth and a girl didn't have anywhere else to sit so we invited her to sit with us. She was 17 and her name was also Rachel! She and her family were visiting to celebrate her brother's high school graduation. We then proceeded to talk about europe and life in general. Then another lady joined our table. She was about 50. She got there just in time for us to play a very raunchy but amsterdam themed round of MadLibs. You can see a few of our responses in one of the pictures. The actual story was hilarious and I think the entire boat hated us because all of were laughing too hard. We then decided to get off the boat and find a restaurant to eat at. Tori and I got sidetracked and found a cheese tasting shop...so much cheese. We ended up going to a chinese restauraunt. Food coma city. We then sluggishly walked around and saw another coffee shop, a few souvenir shops and a clog shop. Yes, I did buy clog slippers.... so worth it.
AmsterDAMN adorable ;)
