The Sundering: an event wherein the Old World was ruined by honkai, causing the Aspects holding it together to shatter and splitting the world into 81 Planes. (the Sundering is literally called "honkai" in every other language)
Sovereigns: the owners of the Aspects of the Old World. after the Sundering, some became the Novarchs of the New World. there were 28-41 previously.
Novarchs: the owners of the Aspects of the New World, each ruling over one of the 81 Planes.
Planes: 81 in total. possibly metaphysical realms or concepts from which Anima draw their power. once presided over by the Sovereigns, and now by the Novarchs. some people are called "Planestriders".
Anima: Nexus Anima, beings created from the fragments of the shattered Aspects after the Sundering. each is associated with an Aspect and a Trait. their masters, Animasters, are basically pokemon trainers.
Nexus: the force that connects all things, tying them together as Nexus threads. it was broken in the Sundering.
The World-Ender: an entity who existed before the Sundering. [all prior to the Sundering:] defeated 7 times and destroyed twice by the 1st Sovereign, sealed in the Plane of Illusion by the 4th, granted immortality by signing a Pact of Rebirth with the 5th, and ruthlessly betrayed the 14th.
