So this happened near my house just yesterday.......DOH!!!!!

Thankfully nobody was hurt, although this Boston & Maine GP40 tipped over so much that it actually shut down!! On the bright side, it didn't foul the mainline, so a couple MBTA and Amtrak trains were able to slowly scooch by at a restricting speed. You can see an inbound MBTA trainset in the background of the first picture. Enjoy! -Mike

Amtrak's Downeaster #688 coasts thru Cross Road, in Haverhill, Massachusetts with NPCU #90220 leading, and P42 #2 bringing up the rear :)

.......And as a matter of fact, yes, the sunset actually looked like that.

I took this mid-pan shot of Amtrak P42DC Genesis unit #204 in North Andover, Mass. It was leading a northbound Downeaster to Portland.

After supporters and opponents of a 60,000-square-foot rail maintenance facility in Brunswick stepped up their campaigns last week, over 60 emails rolled in to town councilors expressing opinions about the project. 

For the most part, emails were in support after an email blast from the Brunswick Downtown Association for residents and business owners to show "more positive support" for the Amtrak Downeaster coming to Brunswick.
