This is a westbound Amtrak Southwest Chief at Wagon Mound, New Mexico. The semaphores on this route were the attraction, of course—last active signals of this type in the United States. And now it seems, soon enough, the now iconic General Electric P42DC locomotives will be phased out as well.

Here's the westbound Empire Builder pausing at Vancouver before its final roll into Portland. This "baby builder" as it is called connects Portland and Spokane daily, where it joins up with the rest of the Builder to head east to Minneapolis and Chicago.
