For just $32.00 This is a soapstone carving in the Inuit style. Done by the artist DIMU who was not actually Inuit. The initials DIMU ,are for the German-Canadian artist Dietrich Muckenheim. I am not actually sure what this figurine is meant to be a representation of. A seal? A Walrus? A Beaver? A Whale? You be the judge. Very crude and primitive. 1960s. Measures appx 3" long. Beautiful condition! From the estate of a couple that traveled the globe.
