what does he do for this...? fern looks the ice king up and down. no swords sticking out of him or weird monsters to kill. why is he suddenly the doctor? finn sucked at med stuff big time, so what makes fern so different, huh?

In life people bore masks. Squidward was no different and neither was the so-claimed "King". It hid pain and failure. The octopus was indifferent at first but now he understood. ❛ Alright, Jack Frost... ❜ He exudes heavy breath, elevating the estranged man. ❛ Up you get. ❜ He cannot have the icy monarch freezing all of his water now.

He is far from an empathetic but clearly the King didn't belong here and it was better for the both of them if he were to return from whence he came. He knows very little about the peculiar entity but he knows enough to understand/that he does not want his stay to be drawn out any further.
