4. Movie of the year? While there were a couple of other notable movies, I think I would have to say Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I got to see it in cinemas which was a great experience and it was certainly not a disappointment to Vol 1, which is one of my favourite movies of all time. (Also, I saw Die Hard for the first time this year but that’s a different story.) 

5. TV show of the year? This one is a little hard because I watched a lot of shows for the first time this year, so there’s a lot to pick from. I’m going to say Parks and Rec, which I seem to be able to watch over and over and which has influenced even my career choices, with The West Wing and Brooklyn Nine-Nine as close seconds. 

1. Song of the year? According to spotify my most listened to song was Thunder Clatter by Wild Cub, so that would be the obvious answer. I think songs like For What It’s Worth by Buffalo Springfield, Till No One is Free by the Steel Wheels, and You’re the Voice by John Farnham really summed up my feel of the year. And I listened to Wildflowers by Tom Petty so often I’m surprised that it wasn’t the top one. Songs are pretty hard to narrow down.
