Day 3 in London

Big day out at the British Museum with amyaccio! I managed to summon some knowledge from that Classical History course I took during the Greek and Roman sections and was a terrible tour guide ("aaah yes, this is that statue of the…thing”). I took a load of pictures, I might try and post some later.

We eventually came back to hang out in Covent Garden for a little bit before getting Amy to take a rickshaw back to Charing Cross. Rickshaw/OMG that bus is so close selfie!

Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow yet. Either try and get to the Tower of London on the Tube or go to Oxford Street to do some shopping before I completely run out of money.

London update!

So one of the Reasons I made this London trip happen was so I could finally meet my best friend amyaccio. And today was the day! A wonderful day of us being dorks and hanging out, going to Forbidden Planet and seeing Pacific Rim together (still awesome and so much better in 2D, I could actually make out what was going on). When we got out of the film we wandered to Trafalgar Square which had been taken over by the Tartan Army ahead of a sportsball match tomorrow, that was quite the spectacle.

Tomorrow is my last full day so I'll probably be running around trying to find last minute presents for people. For now, once I've finished checking Tumblr, I'm going to take my (probably slightly melted now) McFlurry and soak in the bath with the Lush bathbomb I picked up in Covent Garden.

Edit: yeah the McFlurry didn't survive long enough for me to have in the bath.

Oh and I've just realised that housekeeping must have opened the outer window which is why it's so damn cold. And since it's almost midnight I don't really want to go down to reception to ask them to get someone to close it for me. UGH!

Eurovision Song Contest 2012

This year's edition of List of the Entries So I Can Remember Who Was Who at Voting Time (the title is way too long I know). A lot of these are from amyaccio, some are a combination of both of us.

When I'm Supreme Overlord of the Earth I'm going to ban ballads from being entered. There weren't as many as last year but still too many! Power ballads can stay though.

After two disappointing years Ukraine returned to the silly randomness that I loved about them in 2009. So they got my second vote after Russia (yes I voted twice).
