Dumping my LE headcanons (this time on a different platform)
I know I did this MONTHS before on Reddit, but since I have different audiences between the two, why not post it here on a different platform so they can enjoy too?
Anyways…
Here’s the headcanons in question:
I’ve already mentioned this in a previous post on this subreddit, but Rocket’s screen can be tampered to work like a TV and Annie knows and proceeds to abuse this HEAVILY (she pesters him to put on either MLP or Wild Kratts routinely)
June occasionally offers to teach the others (including Rocket) some dance moves and techniques (it goes about as well as you’d expect and it’s a miracle she still tries with them)
Leo is a sci-fi geek (I don‘t know either, he just gives me that vibe that he’s a Trekkie)
Annie and Melody both hate taking baths and Leo is put through hell trying to get them to take them (it’s basically that one SpongeBob episode where SpongeBob tries to get Gary to take a bath, it’s NOT a pretty sight). Melody is the more compliant one, as she’ll do it, but will make it known she’s not happy.
Leo often hangs out with Quincy for good amounts of time so he can practice conducting techniques while Quincy plays the instruments in order to stay sharp (this often leads to either Rocket or June watching over Annie while Leo’s gone)
Quincy‘s favorite dinosaur is Parasaurolophus (his canon favorite instrument is the trumpet, there’s multiple pieces of evidence which implies Quincy likes dinosaurs, why wouldn’t he love it?).
June is good at Dress to Impress and occasionally brings the whole team along to play (it doesn’t go well because Leo has the WORST fashion sense known to mankind, Annie doesn’t take anything seriously/keeps making joke looks, Quincy overthinks everything, and Rocket’s discovering the competitive world of fashion games).
The Little Einsteins all have a gc that they use regularly.
Big Jet hasn’t FULLY reformed morally yet, he still has some mischief in him (and Annie, much to Leo’s dismay, is Big Jet’s partner-in-crime).
Annie sings in her sleep (and it’s very loud).
Quincy is that kid who believes monsters are under the bed or in the closet.
Leo, along with his obvious talent of conducting, has a good amount of knowledge about astronomy and is fascinated by rockets, the planets, stars, satellites (both artificial and natural (i.e. moons)), etc.
Annie has a LOT of things that are animal-themed.
Speaking of animals, Annie owns a LOT of encyclopedias relating to them and knows all of them by memory now from reading them so much (she has an insurmountable knowledge on animals).
Y’know how characters are sometimes depicted as holding a candlestick while in the dark? Leo does the same but with his baton (he canonically uses it as a nightlight + once used it like a flashlight in The Legend of the Golden Pyramid, so…).
The whole team goes on road trips together (well, technically not ROAD trips, since they tend to fly while in Rocket). :)
Annie, due to her head shape, CAN make a good hammer like Mjölnir, but it is not recommended (her head is sometimes used as a table as well).
June goes ALL-OUT on outfits and looks glamorous while doing so (holiday outfits especially).
You can hand Quincy ANY instrument and he can tell you its name, origin, and can play it instantly and flawlessly (<- last part is canon because in Pirate’s Treasure, he plays a nautical whistle PERFECTLY and it’s implied he never played it prior).
Annie has a toy shotgun and toy pistol and routinely pretends she’s either a noble cowboy or a sharpshooter (reference to Annie Oakley, her original namesake).
Leo is the embodiment of this emoji combo -> ☝️🤓, you cannot convince me otherwise.
Annie often involves either Leo and Quincy in her imaginary games and they both question the outlandish way the games work (Annie has the most ridiculous game ideas EVER). However, they have a mutual agreement between them to just go along with what Annie’s doing.
I “stole” this hc (in quotes because I had a help in making the hc), but Quincy loves The Land Before Time and Dinosaur Train.
Rocket is close with all 4 of the Little Einsteins, but is the closest with Leo BY A LONG SHOT (probably the most canon out of all of these).
Annie treats the Kentucky Derby like it’s the Super Bowl.
June taught herself to read at a young age (2 1/2, this is based on the age when I was starting to read myself), and helped teach Quincy and Annie how to read (according to Leo, this kicked Annie’s love for animals into “maximum overdrive”). She also loves teaching the two new words to impress them and helped teach expand their vocabulary.
Leo uses big words too, but he uses them in such uninteresting and more technical ways that it bores those around him, Annie especially.
Quincy would go into haunted houses, but needs to hold onto someone’s hand while he closes his eyes and travels around the house.
Annie loves all genres of music, but if she had to pick a fav, it’d be country.
Big Jet and Rocket have a “friendly rivalry“ after Big Jet’s start to reformation, where they compete with each other, but it’s never taken seriously between them.
Annie is good at playing the banjo, and is in fact SO GOOD she rivals Quincy in terms of skill.
Leo is not good at sports…at all (for me, it’s because in my hcs, he has respiratory issues and general lanky build, but it’s admittedly NOT a good explanation, so I’ll leave the explanation up to y’all). He’s tried football once, but that did not go well.
On the contrary, Quincy is actually good at sports, he just doesn’t play a lot.
June has the best fashion sense out of all the team. Basic, but we ALL know it’s true.
Annie befriends every animal in her peripheral vision. She can see the most venomous snake in the world and decide that’s her new friend.
Leo is learning to make balloon animals and gifts his creations to Annie (it’s canon she likes balloons and animals, so….). And yes, she adores them all.
The reason why Leo doesn’t wipe his glasses is because his vision is BAD without them, and that makes wiping difficult for him, as he has trouble getting the lenses. Since Annie has very GOOD eyesight, she once offered to help clean his glasses. Ever since then, it stuck, and she still does it to this day.
