First attempt at photographing slides and film negatives.

My wife was cleaning up her studio, and found a couple of old glass slides she bought at a thrift shop. I decided to try and figure out how to digitize them. I found a little info online and set to work.

Old flat screen monitor, pane of glass, negative strip, and another pane of glass. Seems to work, but I need a better way of not having the pixel grid of the monitor show. Any suggestions?
