A Radio Of Unique Sorts!
When you first look at this device you may find yourself staring for an extended period of time just trying to figure out what it is. Especially since most of us listen to music from streaming services, it may be hard to decipher. After a while though you start to notice its subtle details that are now giving away what it is. La Moderna is Fabio Verdelli's design of the iconic radio.
When we think of the radio, we typically all come up with the same or similarly designed radio in mind, but not La Moderna. This radio has a special design and I'll tell you why. Fabio designed this radio to have an ultra simplistic aesthetic. He did so by stripping La Moderna of all its exterior features. Thanks to the fact that it's entirely analog, stripping it of its features was doable and not detrimental in the least. Analog radios tend to look very retro vs digital ones, so he put his modern twist on this products design. The definition for analog radios states that it conveys information through a continuous signal. If you look closely there is a protrusion poking out of the top in the form of 4 narrow cylinders. Intriguingly, the lone cylinder happens to be the primary dial to operate the La Moderna analog radio - how neat! This is certainly a very clever and take on what is considered to be a very iconic and familiar electronic. Not to mention, it's portable which is the best! All I want to know is when is it going to be for sale?! Designers: Fabio Verdelli, Manuel Frasson, & Alice dal Verme
