Wingul read Rowen's "Mad Screams of Love" and used it as a reference in his own poetry.
I gave myself a few weeks to try and come up with a fic, but I’m sadly having trouble writing it, so headcanon it shall be~
Wingul originally did not know such a book existed. He’d owned a few of Rowen’s strategy books since he was a child, but had never managed to get his hands on a copy of “The Complete Tactician”–that is, until he found it on a shady peddler’s stall, and, what’s more, it was a limited edition with the Conductor’s poetry anthology!
This was an incredible discovery. The rhymes were exquisite, and the colorful metaphors revolutionary. He was sure the book would become a classic of erotic literature, studied and analyzed by scholars all over Rieze Maxia.
It also happened that at the time when he got hold of this book, he was pining hard for a certain commander of his. The Conductor’s graceful ardor resonated with him and inspired him to lay his own feelings on paper. His first attempts were clumsy, of course, but over time he honed his literary skills and became a master of his own, culminating in the creation of a certain banned song about the king’s sweet buns.
Sadly, Rowen’s masterpiece went forgotten because of its limited printing, until Gaius, remembering how much Wingul had read that book, decided to have it re-edited (it may or may not have also been a way to get back at Rowen for adding too much spice to his curry).
A couple of centuries later, the anthology is still being taught in literature classes all over the world.
