Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Vratham for Marital Bliss and Prosperity Anantha Padmanabha is the appearance of Lord Vishnu in the Shesha Shayana pose. i.e sleeping on the bed formed by the Shesha (Snake). Anantha is the Sanskrit word for endless, infinite. Padmanabha means, the person having Lotus emerging from his navel. i.e Lord Vishnu. The day falls on a Chaturdasi - fourteenth day of Bhadrapada month. Legend says that Yudhistira was preached by Lord Krishna to perform this Vratham during the exile period comprising 14 long years.
