Technoblade saw Wilbur tense at the sight of the hybrid, causing his eyebrows to furrow in confusion.
he leaned close to his twin and whispered quiet enough as to only he could hear, "you good?"
Wilbur didn't reply, not even acknowledging what Techno had. He just watched Fundy as he worked.
His son, his sweet little boy. Not so little any more now was he? He wanted to hug him, hold him. Should he risk it? What if Fundy told Jshlatt he saw them? what if Fundy didn't even want to talk to him?
While Wilbur was frozen, Techno was questioning if this fox happened to one of the ones who caused his brother a life however he also saw how this was indeed a fox hybrid.
Was this the Fundy Tommy had mentioned? He had many features of a fox, hell he was a full hybrid and not just a half one. This had to Fundy, because fox hybrids were rather rare.
"Wilbur," Techno's voice pulled Wilbur from his thoughts, the curly haired male who's eyes looked to have pain in them. "is.. is that Fundy?" Techno asked and Wilbut took a sharp intake of breath.
The two stared at each other for a couple seconds before anither voice had been heard.
"Hello?"

ERET?! Wilbur's mind yelled at him to protectprotectprotect as the traitor approached. After all, the last time they'd seen each other was when the rat trapped them in a room to die. Trapped his son. His twelve-year-old son was trapped where he couldn't save him. Where he couldn't save his first life.
Techno noticed the way both Wilbur and Fundy tensed, Wilbur, moving his hand towards his crossbow. Techno quickly rushed to grab his wrist, they couldn't be stupid. They couldn't afford to make mistakes, not now.
"Eret." The fox hybrid stood on his feet, standing tall and hand hovering over his diamond sword. "What're you doing near Manburg?"
"Relax, Fundy. I come in peace." She said, holding up her hand to stop him. "Just following a bit of a trail, that's all." They glanced over at the wood-filled wagon. "Do you, uh... need some help?"
"No," Fundy answered all too quickly. "I'm actually almost finished."
"Well... that's good then." He shrugged off. Fundy just moved back toward the tree, raising his ax and splitting another log in half. Eret stood there awkwardly for a moment, before sighing. "I won't... I shouldn't keep you from your work-" Just as he moved across the clearing towards the other cluster of trees, Fundy cursed as he turned around.
"Eret wait."
"...Yeah...?"
"Have you... uhm, I mean... did you..." He faltered, expression going sour. "Did you get an invitation?"
"Invitation?"
"For the... for the Manberg Festival. It's in a few weeks." The fox hybrid scratched the back of his neck awkwardly as he held out a flyer Eret took. "Schlatt wanted to host this to celebrate democracy, there's gonna be games and stuff."
"Oh."
"Yeah, he wanted to make sure you knew you were welcome to come." Fundy awkwardly smiled. "Can we count on your attendance?"
"Sure, of course. As King it wouldn't be wise not to, in order to show signs of good faith, you know?"
"Right." Fundy nodded to himself. "By the way, you haven't seen Tubbo, have you?"
Tubbo...? They... they didn't know where he was? Wilbur thought for sure after he'd stolen the file he'd gotten one of his militia to... But if they hadn't, if they didn't know where he was, who did?!
"I've seen him on once or twice, why? Isn't he part of-?"
"Not anymore. There have been some... complications." Fundy explained. "But take an extra flyer if you see him again. Schlatt wanted him to come as well in order to make amends for it all and show his own good faith to the people who helped keep the country afloat. He helped so much when it came to gathering supplies and organizing work, you know. He was the one who helped plan the whole festival, and Schlatt and Quackity thought it wasn't right for him to not revel in the fruits of his labor, yeah?"
