"Located close to Avebury, Silbury Hill is Britain's answer to the ancient pyramids. The largest artificial mound in Europe, the hill compares in height and volume to most of Egypt's pyramids, and was erected at approximately the same time (completed in 2400BCE).
Nobody understands what Silbury Hill's purpose was, suffice to say that, unlike the pyramids, it wasn't a burial site. It stands within an area in Wiltshire rich in Neolithic sites, and sits between West Kennett Long Barrow just on the other side of the road, and Avebury Stone Circle just a few fields away to the north.
From a photographic perspective, until a few years ago I had always avoided photographing it. I just didn't know how to show it off well in a photograph. I've visited a few times over the past couple of years, hoping to capture it from a better angle with the drone. But there was always something missing.
Last week I was much more successful. The shallow depression surrounding the mound (which was cut out by the people who made the mound) can occasionally flood after periods of heavy rainfall. This turns the mound into an 'island' which makes the scenery so much more photogenic. Add to that a beautiful layer of frost coating the landscape and a pink dawn sky above, and it gave me all the elements I was hoping for to show off this magnificant ancient site as well as I could."

“An iceberg is water striving to be land; a mountain, especially a Himalaya, especially Everest, is land's attempt to metamorphose into sky; it is grounded in flight, the earth mutated--nearly--into air, and become, in the true sense, exalted. Long before she ever encountered the mountain, Allie was aware of its brooding presence in her soul.” ― Salman Rushdie, The Satanic Verses
White UFO Flies Out of A Meteorite Over The Great Pyramids of Giza
An excellent eye witness filming this pyramid whilst on holiday caught a meteorite over the pyramid of Giza with a small UFO flying away fro
The meteorite is flying right past the Pyramids of Giza when a white UFO literally breaks off from it and flies away in the opposite direction to where the meteorite is heading. This is a great "but very bizarre" UFO sighting which looks absolutely real.
The pyramids confuse me but not in the sense of how did they move those blocks to stack them but in the sense of like how did they dig those tunnels in them or did they carve the tunnels out before hand and some how line them up perfectly or like how big are the blocks that they can carve tunnels out of them and they don’t collapse like I’m so confused
The aliens built it
The Great Pyramid of Giza demonstrates the exceptional engineering skill of the Ancient Egyptians – and hold many lessons for their modern counterparts, says Professor Peter Debney
Of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, only one remains. Despite it being the oldest of all the Wonders, the Great Pyramid of Giza has outlasted the Lighthouse of Alexandria, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and the Temple of Artemis. Unless the Hanging Gardens of Babylon are ever confirmed to exist, the Great Pyramid will retain that crown.
It is truly a testament to the engineering skill of the Ancient Egyptians that the structure is still standing thousands of years later. Though we have made vast leaps in technology over the years, from highly accurate building design software to laser-sharp tooling, we can still learn so much from ancient engineers when it comes to durability.

The Oldest Pyramids in the World (Not Egypt)
If you’re interested in the oldest pyramids outside Egypt, start with the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Sudan—an early stone construction reflecting ancient state power. In Peru, the Pyramid of Caral shows a unique Adobe design from a complex society around 2600 BCE. The Nubian Pyramids of Meroë, with their steep angles, reveal Kushite royal tombs. Mesopotamian ziggurats are tiered temple platforms,…
